None of you wanted to be stuck in a run down motel in the middle of nowhere, but out in the desert,when the storms start up, so do the flash floods. The interstate is blocked by standing water in both directions, and there's no sign that the rain will let up tonight. As if that wasn't bad enough, the electricity has spent more time off than on since night fell, and the storm is interfering with your cell phone reception. There's no way in or out,k and no way to contact the outside world.

That was the situation an hour ago, when you all rushed outside from your rooms to see what the screech and bang had been about, only to discover an overturned police transport vehicle, a downed telephone pole, two dead cops, and an empty prisoner transport compartment. The cops appear to have been strangled, as if with a length of piano wire, and each has been stripped of his clothes. You managed to scavenge a single gun from the carnage, and retreated to the lobby of the motel's office, thinking that safety may lie in numbers.

That was the situation fifteen minutes ago, when one of your number left to use the restroom, soon calling the rest of you with a scream. There's a body in the restroom entryway, a woman, strangled just like the cops outside. Panicking, every rushes back to the lobby in confusion. What are you going to do? How are you going to stay alive until help comes? Finally one of your number speaks up.

"Alright you want a plan? Everybody want a plan? Here's the plan, okay? No one's gonna move. We're gonna stay here, like this, in this room until dawn. No one leaves, no one moves. And if anyone tries anything, if he tries anything, we're gonna shoot him. And if there's something out there and it comes in here, we're gonna shoot it. And if anyone of us even looks suspicious, we're gonna shoot 'em."

You'll need to vote for a "mayor", who will simply be the person who picks up the gun, and at the end of each day phase, shoots the person who looks most suspicious (i.e. the person with the most votes). This person's only function as far as game mechanics go is to break tie votes.

Days will be approximately 48 IRL hours long, starting between 8 and 9 AM EST, and ending at 6 PM EST the following day. Each night phase in the game will be an interruption in the motel's electricity, giving the scum the cover of darkness and the opportunity to strike.

This is a no-PM game, except among scum at "night".
