Another Browser Game!

Unlike Travian, Cyber Nations, and many others, this one is actually shaping up to be pretty fun, largely because the developer pays attention to the community. It's still in beta right now, but that just means all the stupid mistakes you make when you're just starting out will be fixed eventually. :)

Hit up Vanguard of Aiur if you want a guild to chill in (Recommended)

Also, Plains/Coastal is a very good choice for a first province.

Collect food, buy land, don't buy anything else until later for fastest growth.

Yep, that's how you start out. As you gain progression you unlock more aspects of the game. You want to put off buying progression until you're landcapped though because it provides little benefit until you hit 60.

OK, so you can't be attacked until you get a second province. I guess it's build up quickly for a while, then set yourself up to at least be able to mount a reasonable defence.

Is it worth building villas in the early stages? They increase population growth rates, right?

08-22-2008, 12:11 AM
Yeah, but they also cost resources to maintain, so I'm thinking not yet. Same with roads.

08-22-2008, 05:22 AM
Honestly, I don't even know. You'll need them eventually, probably best to buy some.

Damn you Nightson. I just quit playing Tribal Wars. I gave eight villages away. And now there's another game..............must resist!

Pan Narrans, I've requested a trade. I only just realised resource trades are win-win, in that you continue to get the benefits of whatever it is you're trading.

Cool! Trade accepted, of course.

Now that mine accidents been cleared up I should be on track.

What are the benefits of joining a guild? Is it feasible to go it alone?

08-25-2008, 12:34 AM
Going alone is very difficult, you'd have to stay in peace mode which has a 25% resource penalty for a long time. Guilds offer protection and community.

So you get eaten up pretty damn quick if you're in war mode and not in a guild? I guess I'll have to look at some options. I'll consider Vanguard of Aiur although the theme doesn't really interest me.
