Well, I've gotten over my feelings of guilt over my skillz in this game. bey was nice enough to send along a few words of encouragement.
In hindsight, I don't think I did that poorly after all. We'll talk more after this is over.

ravenscape, I didn't change what I said to fuck with you, I did it because the framer, who was actually slimshady got in his frame of crumb awfully late, and I had already sent out some replies by that time.
Over all I tried to make a fun game, but I certainly made some technical erros, like when I told Capp that Sun Tzu was Cersie instead of Gregor.
Anyway, Starks win, Jon Snow comes down from the wall and rules over the seven kingdoms, all hail Mickthinks king of ff.
When people brought up the idea of name claiming I was pretty amused because I had given all three scum a good alternate name and role to claim, something that would be believable in the context of the game.
Hell two of the claims were actually starks.

Yes, commiserations to slim, who demonstrated what I reckon was a copybook example of how to face down an apparently unanswerable FOS and not give up. It was easier for me to call, because Raven was obviously not scum. But it was much harder for Raven because, as slim pointed out, the only evidence for me not being scum was my determination that Sun be lynched, which could have been a misdirection.
Props to slim and hats off to Raven for making a tough call and winning the game for the town.

Well done raven :notworthy:
:D
I tried my best to convince you otherwise, but you picked the scum in the end. Good job.
It's true there was a framer in the game.... me! :giggle:
I framed Crumbo and that was about the best move I made the entire game. Capp was one of our choices pretty much every single night for a possible kill, but we always went with someone else for various reasons.
Well done to capp also, for viewing the scum. :tiphat:

Well played scum and townies. I really thought you were going to win, slim.
I viewed damian first but he was killed so I didn't get anything but he wasn't scum anyway.
I viewed Sun Tzu 2nd night and got confirmation he was scum so I started watching those who interacted with him and how they reacted when I brought down the heat on him during the 3rd day. I was able to narrow down my choices to slim and viewed him the third night. The rest is history...

Slim, your arguments that there was a framer in the game did pretty much convince me. Monday, I had planned to vote for Mick, because I couldn't figure out why he was pushing me on my story so hard when there was a pile of evidence to back it up, if he was town.
It came down to appeal to emotion. I don't trust 'em.

I knew that I was pushing it on that front, but there is a fine line there. I have to seem interested in a town win, but can't cross the line into only appealing to emotion. No one trusts that, really.
I think you did a fine job, I did the best I could, but the evidence was stacked against me.
Really, the entire game swung on your one vote, so well done on voting correctly! There was lots of contributors to get the game to that point, capp reading 2 scum, me framing Crumb, you killing the Tick, you killing the doc! :giggle:, us not killing capp in time, etc... but you won the game on the day it counted.

Sorry about that Raven. The reason was that I wanted to understand as much as I could of the actions of the scum on the night wei was killed, because it made a difference to how I read slim and Lees. In fact, it seemed more important to me at the time than it should have been, because as you spotted, I was mixing up n3 and n4 in my mind, and I thought that the possibility that the scum had not put in an order on n4 was evidence that FOS'd Lees. But of course, Lees would not have been the only scum on n3, and there was a scum-kill on n4, so I was barking up the wrong tree. As I say I never really doubted you, but I did have to spend some time convincing myself it would be a mistake to vote for Lees.

Hurrah for the town!
In hindsight, the only protection I made that mattered was to save ravenscape. Of course, she expressed her gratitude by killing me. :giggle:
My biggest regret was voting for Crumb. It was clear to me that ravenscape was very sincere in her accusations against Crumb. Enough so, that it convinced me. It never occurred to me that there might be a framer.
Nevertheless, ravenscape won the game for the town.
Congrats ravenscape!

"Role:
The Red Viper of Dorne- you get one and only one night kill, your goal is to kill Gregor Clegane who you believe raped and murdered your sister. You are independent but Gregor is scum."
So each night I got a view and if I viewed him, he died. My 2 views were Ravenscape and The Tick. Sun Tzu would have been next as I had already voted him for scum in the thread.
Basically, my role was good for the town as a one off vigilante. I didnt have contact with any other indy.

Once slim mentioned there might be a framer in the game, it all made a lot more sense. Before that, I really had no idea what could have gone wrong with the view. I still managed to make quite a stew, though.

By early yesterday, I had decided to go with your revealed view of slim. I spent the rest of the day trying to find ways that was a bad idea and trying to get slim and mick to talk more, and maybe slip up.

Lees never seriously entered my mind, but I wasn't confused about N3/N4. You were so opaque in your posts that it worried me a little, since it seemed to me there was no reason to play safe on the last day. I was trying to trade information for information, but I doubt it came off that way.
Hurrah for the town!

My biggest regret too, along with choosing you for a night kill on Night 3. The game might have gone on for a 6th day, and I might not have been the one on the hot steat. I was hoping to attract and foil a night kill before I got lynched. Instead, I blew the game up.
Yeah raven, despite getting me killed you did a great job to pull off the win for the town. :D Endgame is very hard for scum and town alike. Good job slim too, I was never 100% sure.

I was trying to trade information for information, but I doubt it came off that way.
That's exactly what it looked like, Raven, and in my opinion that wasn't good for the town. You were withholding information that might help a fellow townsman to make the right decision. I believe to force a name reveal threatens damage to the town, and to everyone's enjoyment of the game, that far outweighs the slim chance that scum might be revealed.
Imagine that, instead of me, it had been Crumb with you and slim on that last day, and you had insisted that he reveal his name. My guess is that "I am Sandor Clegane" would have had you voting with slim for a scum win.

So, just what are the win conditions for Independents? Did they know about each other? Were they a separate faction of townie?
Damian's role was one of the more fun ones that I made. Stannis was indepedent, his win condition was that he had to be one of the last 3 players alive in the game. He couldn't break his word and he had an unblockable one time night kill.
Lees also had an interesting role, lees was jaime lancaster, who knew that slim was cersei but wasn't allowed to tell anyone or vote for cersie. I thought it was interesting because lees could see people's interactions with a known scum.

Nice! It's a shame that neither Damian nor Lees were able to play it through.
I'm unsure how the scoring works with independents. If there's one scum, one townie and one independent left, has the scum won on the grounds that they've reduced the town to parity, or does the independent bump the town count to 2? Even if the independent has a win condition that allies them with the scum?
Was Lees independent or town? I'm guessing town. And I'm interested in the lawyer's conundrum you set yourself, of how to word the injunction against her so that it was watertight. Something like "Why is no one voting for slim? I'm not allowed to" would seem to get around the "don't tell and don't vote" rule.
And trillian's win condition - did it require Gregor Clegane to die at her hand alone, or would she have been happy to vote for a lynching? I'm guessing she needed to find him and stop us lynching him in order to win.
Thanks for a splendid game!

Something like that is up to the gm, although I wasn't explicit in the pm, if trillian was successful she would satisfy her win condition and then be removed from the game as well. Damian's role though made him count as town for numbers although he didn't win with them. It really is up in the air.

I guess it would have depended on how the post actually played out and it would have required a judgment call on my part.
And trillian's win condition - did it require Gregor Clegane to die at her hand alone, or would she have been happy to vote for a lynching? I'm guessing she needed to find him and stop us lynching him in order to win.

If she had been on the voting party of gregor it would have satisfied her win condition as well. That is one of my failings as a gm, I didn't really make the roles as clear in the text as they were in my head.
