There has been no small turbulence in my mind of late, as I chew over what I'm going to be doing with my life for the next 10-12 months. This preoccupies me this week, since I have a ticket to Paris in 4 days and my alternative plans have evaporated.

This morning I woke up early for no reason. I took a shower and brushed my teeth and started my morning routine. I checked the news online and then I checked :ff: and noted how many threads were addressed to ES. I also reviewed my travel plans for this weekend because I need to call the airline today or tomorrow. After a few minutes, I exercised a privilege of unemployment and decided that I was still tired and went back to sleep for a couple of hours.

Then I had an :ff: dream. A non-erotic :ff: dream. I had a question about my flight, and Sock Puppet helpfully posted a long list of whom to contact if you are flying which airline. Since I am flying Lufthansa, I found the number for Canadair, the aircraft manufacturer (the first leg of my flight is on a Canadair regional jet). I dialed the number, but it wasn't Lufthansa or Canadair. It was Ensign Steve! :steve:

Damn that clever Sock Puppet! I don't remember what we talked about, but I do remember that ES was awesome. And she had no helpful information at all. It was all like "Hey, Ensign Steve, what up." And she was like "Hey, ChuckF, what's happening." I don't remember what happened after that, but yeah, it was pretty cool I guess.
