about to go to one and try to buy some furniture for my large empty home, so what do you guy think about fleamarkets.
do you shop them?

Yes! Aboslutely! Also scour second hand/thrift stores. You can slip cover or paint things if you can't figure out how to put together eclectic finds with style.
There's a magaizine called Flea Market Style if you can find it that has some great ideas.

Hells yes. Several things to bring with you on your flea market shopping spree which should help ensure you don't get a bunch of useless crap instead of stuff you need and can use:
a list of specific things you want
a measured floorplan of the rooms to furnish
a tapemeasure
much cash
a woman

Is the woman for trading purposes? They are probably more portable than chickens or sheep.

The worst thing about moving out here to the Pacific NW is that there are no great and wonderful bargains at the second hand stores and no great flea markets like there were back east. :(
