O.k., just the drunken part really.

First Legs gets me hooked on Drambuie. Then ShottleBop posts about the cinnamon flavored whiskey which I am determined to find. A few nights ago I recalled ES posting about hot cocoa with peppermint schnapps awhile ago and had to have one. And now I'm relaxing with a glass of cranberry wine sparked by all the talk of wine.

I used to be so innocent sober before :ff:

So where does the sex fit in?

Oh yeah this is great!

I am enjoying a rum and Coke right now. :pleased:

True, I guess I have to be having it first :sadcheer:

Okay, now because of YOUR thread, Mrs Malloch, I went and poured myself a wee dram.

Cold night like this, you need a cup of coffee (decaf in honor of the hour) with a splash or six of Bailey's Irish Cream.

You guys are going to laugh at me. I few weeks ago I had had a bottle of Jack that I would just drink on the rocks in a low ball glass, all Mad Men style, and that worked out fine. Then I went to Chicago for a few days, and we had Makers for sipping, and Seagrams 7 for polluting into our coffee or hot chocolate or egg nog. So then I'm at the market a few days ago, and I'm like "what the hell, that made for some decent coffee pick-me-up in the morning, and I grabbed some Seagrams. Then last night I went ahead and opened it, and poured it over ice, and had a few sips, and eventually it dawned on me "what the fuck am I drinking?" It was so nasty. I had to go down to the laundry room and buy a 7-up. It was okay after that, though.

God damn I love the holidays.

Hot chocolate with a layer of cream on top and a generous dose of Baileys. Heaven.

Black coffee (strong - definitely not decaf) with a teaspoon of dark sugar & a large dollop of Jamieson's Irish Whiskey! Drink it while hot.

(Sadly I can't indulge with the Jamieson's any more - mixing alcohol with my medication wouldn't do wonders for my well-being).

What's wrong with a cold beer or frosty glass of white wine?

Ah ... that 'season' thing ...

Poor freezing Northern Hemisphere saps. I personally love an icy cold beer on X-mas day. With cold prawns. :homdrool:

Exactly. Just as soon as I can get this work project done, it'll be fun & boozing time. (You have the added advantage of not being 800km from the sea, I guess.)

I actually detest beer. I don't care for the taste and it just makes me feel so full. That's one way you all can't corrupt me!

What about well-chilled white wine? Or are you strictly a liqueur girl?

I like white wine as long as it isn't too dry.

I had a pomegranate "martini" last Christmas that was so delicious I still think about it. It was just your basic vodka + fruit juice = profit concoction, but a damn delicious one. Like a high-end version of the grape Welch's and gallon bottle of Popov we used to make in college.
