New Features!

We've added an image gallery and a place for web links. You can access the Links from the main menu near the top of your screen, and the gallery from within the Member Options menu to the right of that. :slide:

There are some kinks that I have yet to work out of both of these (such as the categories not showing up on the Links page), so please don't go hogwild uploading images and links until further notice. In a worst case scenario I may end up having to delete everything and start over tomorrow.

Edited to add: The Gallery (http://www.freethought-forum.com/forum/gallery/index.php) and Links (http://www.freethought-forum.com/forum/links) mods are now installed and configured permanently.

Please feel free to upload images and web links as you wish.

I was just going to ask about the category issue.

Don't worry at all about deleting those photos I've uploaded if you need to, vm.

I was trying to figure out how the whole category thing worked...and had not read this post til after I already uploaded.

I'd say follow the same guidelines (http://www.freethought-forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=49) we have for posts. Basically nothing illegal, riddled with viruses, etc. :)

Odd, I haven't seen any problems with IE.

Just to make sure you know, replies are only on the individual image page. In other words if you go to the Travel gallery for example, you won't see any replies under the images there. You have to click on an individual image to get to the page that has the replies beneath it. Is that maybe the issue? :chin:

No, I don't think so. I believe I am at the individual image page. It shows the fullsize image, information about the image, then a "new reply" button, an empty section titled "Replies to image:.....", then the "Quick Reply" section.

If you had one of your test images still in there, I'd get a screenshot of what I see. I'm not inclined to take a screenshot of one of the member's pics and post it here because that would make it viewable by non-registered guests.

Also, I get a bad link message when I click on the little summation symbol that usually means "go to last post" in the "Last Post" column for any of the images.

Okay, here's everything I could think of to show you what I'm getting:

First, I select Member Options/Gallery from the drop down menus:

Okay I think I've figured out the problem. Do you guys have the user info block on top of each post, or off to the left? I'm guessing off to the left since I tested it and that makes the replies stop working. I'm looking into why that might be right now.

Yup. I had 'left'. Now that I switched to 'top', the full thread shows up.

Brian has fixed this issue for us! It is now possible to view replies to images whether you elect to have the user information displayed on the left or top of each post. :)

Brian has fixed this issue for us! It is now possible to view replies to images whether you elect to have the user information displayed on the left or top of each post. :) :thankyou:
