This post should be in no way construed as sucking up to an admin. No sirree. This is purely an informational link for those interested in ancient history (note: no forum for history topics exists), the sort of shit godfry and I were talking about over in the Is Christianity Pagan? thread. Yes, a completely disinterested heads-up.
www.livius.org
The site is fantastic for anyone interested. No really.

Ahh, my sweet namesake site. When I first found it I had a pang of jealousy that they scored the domain name. Then I looked around a little bit and soon realized that never in a million years could I have made such wonderful use of it.
It's a marvel of a site, and I loudly second Celsus' entirely non favor-currying recommendation.

It's not the most pleasing design in the world in terms of color, but when it comes to content, Lacus Curtius (http://penelope.uchicago.edu/Thayer/E/Roman/home.html) is the non plus ultra of one-man classics sites. How Bill Thayer put all those resources together and cross-referenced with little pop-ups and whatnot, I'll never know, but I appreciate the hell out of him.
Spend some time there and I guarantee you'll end up with about 50 new bookmarks.
I read the article on homosexuality. Very good, indeed! That Socrates was a sick, sick little man, I tell you what.
Great link, Liv!
