These photos of a Roger Federer and Andre Agassi tennis game (http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/photo_galleries/4289977.stm) caused an instinctive contraction of my sphincter.

Please, warrenly, spare us your gastro-intestinal reactions to high altitude tennis photos. :rolleye1:

Yes, I saw that somewhere else and had a similar reaction!  :damn: :egad:
They must have lost some balls :D
And they couldn't have been playing all out, they wouldn't be able to run full tilt for some balls without being in danger of not being able to stop in time, or so it looks from the pics. I bet the view was spectacular though. :yup:
Very cool anyway, the pics themselves look awesome.

As someone with a mild fear of heights, I must say that scares the shit out of me as well.

I have a fear of heights as well, and if I were on that helipad I would be highly anxious, at least at first. But put a parachute on me, though, and I would be fine. In fact, I think making a parachute jump from there would be really cool. Perhaps they could host such an event for BASE jumpers from around the world.
For example http://www.basejumper.org/

BASE jumping sounds fun. I'd really like to try it, one day.
The wind up there must be insane... It would be fun to play tennis in those conditions, I think (for at least the first 10 minutes, anyway).

Saw that on ABC World News last night. I guess it's just temporary as they were shooting a commercial or something. At one point Agassi looks over the edge and asks, "Who's gonna get that?" (or something similar).

I just looked up some room information on that hotel -- which I remember seeing once on the Travel Channel -- a 7-star hotel! Yes, they had to create a new category for it.
Holy. Shit.
The smallest suite, the Deluxe, is 169m2, or a little over 1,800 sq. ft. for us 'Merikuns! SMALLEST!
The largest suites are 7802 or nearly 8,400 sq. ft.!!!

 No way I had the same reaction Warrenly. I don't have a fear of heights as much as I do edges.. I would have to be on my belly the whole time. I couldn't even attempt going to the edge and looking over.. :egad:
I took the virtual tour. I saw a special on this Hotel. It is amazing. Actually I think they are going to be doing more. The Sheik or King of Dubai has this grand idea of lots of island (man made) in the shape of a Palm tree.. :palmtree: go figure. He is one of the richest people on the planet.
I saw this on the news this morning...wanted to get them off of it immediately.. :yikes:
