No, no. I'm not talking about the laptop computer. That's old news. I'm talking about my new bluetooth enabled toothbrush. Yes, that's right. My toothbrush has bluetooth. The Oral-B Triumph with Smartguide (http://www.oralb.com/en-US/products/pc9900/) is an electric toothbrush that comes with a little LCD panel you stick to the wall - a panel that provides a little digital clock when not in use, and which tells you where in your mouth to brush and for how long, whether you are brushing too hard, and gives you a little smile when you have completed the ADA recommended 2 minute brush.
I had been considering an electric toothbrush anyway, so when the dentist told me about this one I simply had to have it. Having used it for a few weeks I really like it. Not only does it encourage me to brush more thoroughly and for much longer than I used to, the digital clock is something I wanted in the bathroom anyway and I actually look forward to the little smile when I'm done.

Fuck.
Now I'm dreading that first call from a user wanting to pair his Triumph toothbrush with his Blackberry so he can maintain superior dental hygiene on the road.

My mom and dad have that. I actually think it's pretty cool. I know I don't spend enough time brushing but if I had that visual reminder I probably would.

I have a 10 year old Braun Oral-B electric toothbrush that goes into a spasmodic fit for a few seconds when the two minutes is reached, then I smile my gap-toothed, but sparkling clean smile.

Yeah mine stutters every 30 seconds to remind me to move on to the next quadrant, then longer at 2 minutes. :D
