Tonight Michael Shermer will be featured, along with other UFO skeptics and believers, in addition to SETI scientists, from 8-10pm on the ABC special Peter Jennings Presents....

The UFO Phenomenon -- Seeing Is Believing
Two-Hour Primetime Special Airs Thursday, Feb. 24 at 8 p.m.


I wanted to watch this, but I missed it last night. I am curious as to how the skeptics position was represented, and how the believers were treated.

Did anyone catch this?

I tried to watch it, but the eerie music and superconvinced over nothing eyewitnesses were a bit much for me. The film of the lights over Phoenix was fabulous, and the explanation of them as flares dropped from planes in formation made perfect sense. Some witnesses insisted -- as witnesses to such things are wont to do -- that they saw an actual shape, a vehicle, not just the lights, and although ABC did a better job than the Discovery Channel, there was still that annoying eerie music thing.

Hmm...well maybe it is godo that I missed it. Did you see Shermer on it?

Nope. He wasn't on in the first 15 minutes. It was all about the Phoenix lights until I changed the channel.

The Stellar Explosion was recorded just 44.6 hours after the Indonesian Earthquake and Tsunami and many are wondering if there was a connection. There is no information as yet on whether the effects of the Stellar Explosion were recorded before the earthquake.

Wow a post hoc fallacy stretched out over 45,000 years! :hahaha:
