-= PLEASE DO NOT POST IN THIS THREAD IF YOU ARE NOT A PLAYER. =-

:stranded:

You are all stranded in the :ff:. :ohno: You will begin the game divided into two teams and will compete to keep you and your team mates in the game. Feel free to communicate with any other players via PM or in the thread.

:teacher:

We will play a series of weeks. Each week will consist of a challenge and a vote. The vote will determine which player will leave the game. The team challenges will decide which team will have to vote someone off. When we get to two players, all players previously voted off will vote for the winner of the game. The winner of the game will get their choice of an item from the FF store, or their choice of a charity for me to donate to in their name.

Here are the teams: :mvp:

Team A:
SharonDee
1Samuel8
Megatron
Leesifer

Team B:
LadyShea
Demimonde
Kael
beyelzu

My next post will describe the first team challenge. The team that wins the challenge will get to pick names and smiley mascots for both teams. The team that loses the challenge will have to vote off one of their players.

I will post the first challenge before I go to bed this evening.

Good luck!

Team Challenge: FF Scavenger Hunt

The first team to find posts matching 9 of the below categories wins this challenge.

Submit by posting the number followed by a direct link. Each player may submit only three valid posts.

3 A post by vm with a smiley
4 A post with an unmentionable smiley

Official results:

Team A: 8
Team B: 9

Congrats to Team B. You guys should get to work choosing a name for your team and for your vanquished opponents. Decide in private if you wish, and PM me your final choice.

Team A: Each member PM the name of one of your team mates. Votes will be anonymous, but the totals will be published in thread. The team mate with the most votes will be out of the game. :sadbye:

Team Challenge: Wiki Degrees of Separation

- Each team should turn in exactly three chains. The shortest three you can find linking the Wiki page on the left to the page on the right. (In the style of this thread: Wiki Degrees of Separation - Freethought Forum (http://www.freethought-forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=16944))

- You cannot use dates, and the links followed have to be in the body of the Wiki page.

- Submissions will be by PM to me. Please coordinate with your team so I only get three submissions. (Sorry spectators the thread won't be nearly as active as in the last challenge.)

The team that is able to link three of these with the fewest total number of steps wins this challenge. The losing team will have to vote off a player.

Here are the subjects to link:

Barak Obama (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barak_obama) :rarrow: Mesoamerican pyramids (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aztec_Pyramids)
Nick Cave (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nick_Cave) :rarrow: Necrophilia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Necrophilia)
American football (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_football) :rarrow: Suicide (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suicide)
Socrates (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Socrates):rarrow: Dog (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dogs)
Ford Motor Company (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Motor_Company) :rarrow: Triskaidekaphobia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Triskadecaphobia)
Novel (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Novel):rarrow: George Washington Carver (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Washington_Carver)

I'm sure some of these are harder than others, so choose wisely. You only have to submit three.

You have until Thursday, March 26th at 3pm Pacific to submit your answers to me by PM. (The challenge will end sooner if I get all submissions early) Good luck!

For clarification, does the flow have to be one way? I mean to say, if the following wiki has a link to the preceding article does it count? Or does the preceding article have to link to the following one?

EX:

peanuts to elephants, if the peanut article does not link elephants but the elephant article links peanuts, does it count?

Crumb

Has to go one way. Don't neglect your history paper. :)

It always sucks that someone has to be the first one off. :sadcheer: In this case it is even worse because the first challenge was over before he even knew it had begun. So sorry to say goodbye to you so quickly 1Samuel8. :sadbye: You are now the first member of the Jury who will help choose the winner from the final two. I am not too sure whether I can do that job any better! but I will try my best!

Team Challenge: I Spy a Smiley

- I will choose a smiley and give a small hint.

- Players can ask as many yes or no questions about the smiley as they wish.

- Each player can guess the smiley by posting ("I guess that the smiley is :blah:") Each player only has one guess per smiley so be careful with your guess.

- The first team to get 4 smilies right wins this challenge.

Does the animation involve jumping, bouncing, leaping, or any other synonym thereof?

If so, is it jumping over anything?

Contrariwise, does it involve falling?

Does it involve only one figure (such as :zomg:) or multiple figures (such as :pickme:) or no figures (such as :treehous:)?
