Look what Rupert Everett did to himself:
..........Before .....................After
http://popwatch.ew.com/photos/uncategorized/2009/04/16/rupert_everett_wtf.jpg
What the fucking fuck? He looks like a completely different person, and imo nowhere even remotely as attractive a one. I don't even understand how his agent/manager/whomever didn't throw themselves between his face and the scalpel.
You'd think the mere fact of him having name and face recognition would keep him from indulging in this level of self-mutilation. Does he plan to have a whole new career as some generic soap opera "hunk"? I don't get it.

I wouldn't even think it was him, except that the ears look the same. Even his hairline is different! Blech.
Maybe he was tired of everyone wondering if he is HIV+...? He looks "healthier" is about the only positive thing I can say about what he's done. Personally I preferred his "before" appearance.

Well at least he doesn't look like a freak or something.
He does look like a different person tho. It's weird.
It might help to have pictures from the same angle.

He looks like Patrick Swayze now. So unfortunate. I remember when Jennifer Grey got her schnoze wacked. She looked like an entirely different person.

New chin, new cheeks, new hairline, new teeth, newly varnished waxen sheath in place of what was formerly skin. It's like he's erased all the character from his face. Very disconcerting.

You and me both. I don't even think he looks healthier, exactly, or only insofar as a dead man looks healthier after the undertaker has done his thing.

A little surgery can go a long way, seriously. In this case it looks as if they grafted on new skin. Character lines add character...who wants to look like a wax carving?
Jennifer Grey was another huge failure...how interesting or memorable is a cute button nose in Hollywood?
Also, somebody should kill Mariah Carey's stylist. Just sayin'.
And that was totally a xpost, I did not mean to mimic liv

The slaughter of the innocent noses in Hollywood is heartbreaking. I don't even understand the appeal of these razor-sharp planed down and pruned noses. I'll take a Gregory Peck aquiline over a Brad Pitt snublet any day of the week. When did that particular shape become an aspirational standard?

What's wrong with stubby little noses? Jealous, much? :offended:
(I don't know who that guy is, btw, just thought I had to butt in and defend the stubby nose people from disparaging remarks.)

new hairline, new teethWell, most celebrities have dental work, don't they? Cept, like, Dave Letterman (even then I wouldn't be surprised if he did get work and simply preserved the gap). At any rate, that's probably not a new thing to go with the plastic surgery.
And I'm not sure if his hairline is all that different, he has a different hairstyle, which partially obscures his hairline. And it's dyed.

There's nothing wrong with them, but they're certainly no better than other nasovarietals. Who appointed them the must-have accessory?

I'm pretty sure it happened shortly after I was born and the doctor claimed I'd be a man-killer* one day. They just wrote the New Book of Cute Button Noses and threw the old one out.
(*I forgive him. Little did he know I was born with the social skills of a rock, and not a femme fatale)

Can you find the hoax starter? I looked at Google, and found a lot of sites about the "horrible" facelift, but not one claiming it was a joke.

(Oh FFS, is there nothing but tag wrestling on this channel...)
wildy, you have something to back that assertion that I have nothing to back my assertion, I hope? Otherwise you are way out of your depth.
ETA: No, Chris, all I've found are official-sounding denials from sources close to Mr Everett: Everett slams surgery claims as 'laughable' - Yahoo! News UK (http://uk.news.yahoo.com/1/20090419/ten-everett-slams-surgery-claims-as-laug-c60bd6d.html)

Ok. I am not a patient person and not interested in a dialogue with you, mick.
I was answering your question: You are disagreeing why?
It goes:
Q: You are disagreeing why?
A: Because you made an assertion with nothing to back it up.
That is an answer to why Crumb asked your question. Instead of continuing to be non-communicative, you could have just posted something to support your initial statement on this thread.
I have made no assertions. For all I know, you have a link that you are not sharing. Responses are not necessarily assertions. I am not arguing with you. If anything, I am expressing frustration that you continue to be so difficult to talk to/with that even a thread about a celebrity's alleged bad plastic surgery hits a speed bump when you allegedly contribute.

This site (http://www.anomalies-unlimited.com/Jackson.html) is a bit out-of-date but I think most viewers will agree that Mr. Everett has a long way to go before he equals the Master of Misguided Cosmetic Surgery.

The picture is a still from his recent appearance on The Martha Stewart Show. It could be photoshopped, of course, or just a particularly bad angle.
Here's (http://rachelrayshow.com/show/segments/view/going-too-far-rupert-everett/) video of him on The Rachel Ray Show a couple of weeks before the Stewart appearance. He doesn't look as ironed out and disturbing as in the OP when he's animated, but that's definitely his new face.

Okay, if we know that's where the photo comes from then I guess it must be just a really bad photo. It's not that it doesn't do him justice, it looks like someone else.

Why can't it be that he had plastic surgery? :chin: It wouldn't be the first time that someone denied it.

I had to go over to IMDb to check him out....to see why it is I should know this guy. He's got over 50 films to his credit since 1982 and I've seen three, maybe four of them. He has never made an impression on me.
Meh...

No, not in my opinion. It has to be a bad photo because Rupert Everett still looks very much like Rupert Everett*. If he has had some cosmetic treatment (I wouldn't be at all surprised) it isn't 'really bad surgery', and it hasn't made him look like someone else.
