Members Gallery

You know an idle glance through the members gallery, currently, shows an inordinate number of house-pets are currently posting on this forum.

Is it a little strange that when asked to post a picture of oneself, one supplies a picture of one's ferrets?

Actually "Members Gallery" just means a place for each member to host his/her own pictures of whatever. There's no stated request or expectation that they be pictures of oneself. (Is that a word?)

But isn't it a little redundant putting in a gallery specifically for members to put photos in? Aren't all galleries kinda going to be members galleries in this sense?

Hehe... well, the idea is that any member can upload images to the The Arts, Travel or Miscellanea galleries, whereas only the member whose gallery it is can upload images to the Members Gallery bearing their own name. So it's like private, invitation only sub-galleries within the public gallery. Except not invitation only. :D

Well, as long as people aren't posting their "members" -- if ya know what I mean -- then I guess it's OK. ;)

As for me, I don't have any pets. I put at least one pic of my kid in the travel section because it was from a vacation.

Well, I didn't think you'd have a problem with it -- I'm just not sure how comfortable people would be doing that on a public board -- but the administration might.

I'm embarrassed to admit I moused over that to see the Arabic number, without considering that the hovertext is a feature of the real post-count and won't work on Roman numerals in posts. :blush:
