$1612 worth of stimulation to be exact, and not that kind :bunnythrust: of stimulation either.

Since I pissed off the last digital TV deadline and it look like the gov'ment a'int going to give me another reprieve I figured it was time to suck it up :glare: and get me on of them new fangled digital TVs.

I've had my eye on several models but I didn't end up getting any of them. What I got was a 46in Mitsubishi LT-46244 (http://reviews.cnet.com/flat-panel-tvs/mitsubishi-lt-46244/4505-6482_7-32450664.html).

Very nice set and larger than I was really looking for (37-42in) but the price was right, the specs meet my requirements and the picture was gorgeous. I take possession on Saturday.

The number of abandoned tvs dumped in the park across our street is going to go up after Friday, isn't it?

Watser?

They're arrogant, criminal scum who like to add rootkits to their products.

Well I did consider a Sony Bravia 40" TV. It was slightly more money than the one I bought, but damn it produced a stunning image.

As for the rabbit ears, I didn't think my $5 (or whatever they cost) pair would be sufficient for reception so I had to pick up an antenna as well.

What's wrong with Sony? They're an international mafia of capitalist running dogs and lackeys of bloodsucking neo-imperial parasites.

That said, most of their products that I've used are pretty good, compared to competing brands I've tried.

Yeah but their tv's really do have the best picture. :giggles:

You going to get a blu-ray next, Z? I highly recommend it!

Probably some time in the near future.

Not sure we could all fit in my tiny 1br apartment, but sure.

At the risk of pissing off all the anti-Sony crusaders, the best Blu-Ray player on the market is the PS3.

A lot of people have said this.

I'm not a rabid Sony hater, but since I have a 360 already I don't really need/want another game system. Especially one that I probably will never play.

The pricing for the lower end (i.e. smaller HDD, no backwards compatibility with PS2 games) PS3 is in the same neighborhood as the comparable Blu-Ray players from Toshiba or Panasonic. I've played exactly one game on mine (to be fair, I would have played more if I hadn't fucked up and bought the non-backwards compatible model, leaving my old games to rot on the shelf since my PS2 died).
