I really like the forum features and abilities. Way more fun. :yup:

Are these other two features implemented for the FF forum design?

I see the "users viewing thread" feature. But I don't see the other two. Are they user-settable options in the profile, maybe?

Sorry for the question - not a complaint; just a suspicion that these features probabbly *do* exist, but silly me just can't find them.

Thanks.

Thank you. We hack to please. :curtsey:

Users viewing forum is a setting in the Admin Control Panel, but since it adds to the server load, we sort of compromised and activated only the the Users viewing thread feature. However, as felonybob noted (http://www.freethought-forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2032) we do have trouble sometimes with sluggish thread loading, so I'm thinking we might have picked the wrong one to activate.

I think, in fact, I shall switch it now and see if that helps with thread load time. I hope you won't miss it too much.

Now, as for a posts in thread feature, I'm not exactly sure what you mean. If you mean a list of who has posted how many times, you can get that by clicking on the number in the Replies column on the index of any given forum.

We also have a little something special installed here to make the default view way cooler. Namely, when the list of posters and number of posts pops up, you can click on the number next to any name to get a wee threadlet comprised entirely of their posts on the original thread. It comes in very handy when you're looking for a specific post in a long thread.

If that's not what you were asking about, perhaps you could clarify for me?

And you were right. I hope you don't mind too much that I took your viewing forum question and ran with it to the point of ditching the viewing thread option.

Thank you kindly for your question/suggestion/endless bitching and complaining. :giggle:

The experiment is over (http://www.freethought-forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2066), Sauron. Both users viewing this forum and users viewing this thread are now activated. :)
