I had a picture I wanted to post. I wanted to post it as a link. I read the vB code list that vm has kindly provided. I tried multiple times to get it to work. Nothing doing. I also tried posted it under a spoiler tag.

I even did a google search for how to post items on forums. I ended up with a whole bunch of links that only compounded my ignorance on this issue. :glare:

Anyone know of a good tutorial on this, like simple step by step instructions for morons like myself.

Is this a picture on your computer, or one that is on the web somewhere?

If it's one on your computer that you want to show as a link, I think you need somewhere to host the pic. I believe ImageShack (http://imageshack.us/) is the one most people recommend :)

I use Walagata (http://www.walagata.com/), but you need to get an account there (free, of course ;)). I think Imageshack just uploads from your computer and gives you a url, easy-peasy. :)

I should have been more specific. I have the image hosted by Image Shack. I can get the image's address to show and that's not what I want. I want to have it linked under a word like "link' or "here".

See the icon with the globe and paper clip thingie? Click it, type in the word you want to appear like "Here", then paste in the url when it asks.

Click on globe icon that says "insert hyperlink" when your cursor is over it
You get a box asking for link text. Type "Here" then click "okay"
You will get a box asking for the url. Either type it in, or paste it in and click okay
