Some may wonder why the pictorial replies stopped. That OP I ref supra was on my former fav pic post BB, which lead me to my newest fav pic BB. That series of interconnected BBs seems to allow only 20 pages of thread index, which means for every dozen new threads, the dozen oldest are automatically deleted, so I have been frantically trying to save all the pic from the oldest threads from several BB. You never know when you will find another pic of someone you have seen before, someone you adore, or lust after, or just want to add to your collection. Also, some of the posters who comment on the pics are really funny, so I have been reading all the posts of several really witty people.............OH .............It just occured to me some of our friends from the II, HH, Hyper, Ebla or FF BB might be the very bright witty posters on those "other" BB............... :D

IIRC that plate number block of US Scott # C3a is unique and worth over $500,000. NOT very unique, but the original meaning of unique as the only one. A bit of history for the people who don't collect stamps: there were only 100 of the Inverted Jenny stamps in the sheet and there should be 4 plate number blocks, but over time and changing market conditions, some people broke up the other 3 blocks. In any case, the owners of 98 of the 100 stamps are known [2 stamps were stolen and never recovered]. Scott lists C3A at $150, 000 for a hinged mint copy and $180,000 for a never hinged, however a recent sale of an inferior copy brought only $36,000.

That said, here is a pic of the Bluenose. That Canadian ship won the big race and was the World Champion Schooner back in the 1920s.
