I forgot to scramble my chatting account, so thought I'd pop in and say "hi".

Been getting together my rather amateurish portfolio (http://www.flickr.com/photos/petrapaignton/) (that I hope to turn into a professional portfolio in due course :cool: ), and thought I'd show you guys and see what you think. If you have any comments, don't be shy (good or bad - as long as it's constructive I'll be learnin' - and learnin' is my fave :yup: )

Scored some photoshop freelance work, and my first wedding shoot is this coming Wednesday, so I'm off to a good start (albeit a slower start than I'd like). Also joined the local Camera Club so that I'm forced to socialise more - gotta break the reclusiveness I'd allowed myself to slip into the last couple of years or so. Change is doing me good. Yay!!! :D

I only had time to look at the first page, but I love Waiheke Island Paradise. Classic. Also I think the color version of Ship Ahoy! is the best. The rich wood tones really add something to it. Early QWERTY needs some more contrasting elements. If you could figure out a way to light it so that underneath the keys was darker, maybe? Love the Kelley Rose pic, btw. I'm out of time and work calls, but it's nice ofyou to come post your pictures!

I love how you photograph children and babies. I mentioned in the past about how my favorite pictures of Kelly Rose are the ones with her mother. So much more interesting than generic baby pictures (I mean, they do all look the same, right? :giggles:). I prefer Curtis original to photoshopped. What a sweet boy! :aww:
