that's actually the origin of the name. both of her names were inspired by music.

we had wanted to call our daughter Lola, but it's getting kinda trendy and so decided against it. i always liked that name and the song that goes with it. Lola fits into my personal philosophy of a universe ruled by a god that is drag queen and i have used the name in reference to a god figure in the past...

anyhow, i went looking for other names, scrolling through the z's and hoping to find something neat to go with Zeke, when i stumbled upon Zola and i knew right away that would be the name. Tracie loved it, too.

Pearl, was going to be the first name and i was reminded of it when we were coming up with ideas and i was listening to Underworld and Pearl's Girl came on...

he's doing really well. he's a spoiled little bugger, so we weren't sure how he would take it, but he's been real cool. he likes to kiss her head when she cries and likes to hold and be near her at times.

i'll attach a pic of the two of them sleeping together and one of the Zekester taken yesterday...
