Can I edit the date on my posts?

I want to backdate some shit to make it look like I've been blogging this whole time. I mean, I want to backdate some shit so I can have an accurate record of the actual timeline of events as they occurred before I forget about them.

If so, how? If not, why is google trying to keep me honest?

Oh, and if anybody is subscribed to my blog (although I don't know why you would be, except that I'm a member here, and I subscribe to all the FFers blogs that I'm aware of whether they get updated or not, and others here might do the same), I apologize if your feed is getting clogged up with edits and backdated crap.

Basically I'm trying to chronicle my wedding process. I can't believe I didn't think to do this from the beginning! But I am finding other people's wedding blogs to be incredibly helpful in my own planning, so I want to get mine out there and googlable in case it can help anybody else in the future. And also to have my own record for myself.

I'll even be able to put up dress pictures, because beyelzu totally doesn't look at it. I'm going to replace the profile pic with a hilarious pic from my fitting of me drinking champagne and looking surprised by my boobs. It's on the camera at home.

Okay, it's almost up to date. Well, it is up to the current date, and I fixed the profile pic, but I still need to sneak in some older posts. Like if I ever find one of my invitations to scan in. You guys should see these invitations. They were genius, and it was all beyelzu's idea.

Hey! Can anybody who got one scan one in for me? I really don't think we saved one. And to think I used to scrapbook.

Please, please, please don't make the bridesmaids wear green. It goes with almost no skin tones (on white folk, anyway). I know, I had to wear emerald green at my sister's December wedding. It was hideous.

Oh, what am I saying. I hope you have a fabulous wedding, whatever anyone wears. I still can hardly believe it's not some long-playing joke, the two of you are kind of known for that sort of stuff. So the closer it gets, the more I'm just charmed and tickled the two of you are getting together, it seems appropriate.

Anybody use the Pages feature in blogger? I added a "Welcome" page (not to this wedding blog shit, i gave up on that one the second the wedding was over) and I want that to be the default index page, but google wants to force it to go to the blog page. I moved the welcome to the top-left and everything, and google just makes it open the second tab instead.

Edit: Oh wait, I may have found something, but I have to run to Spanish class before I can see if it works. I'll just put this here so I can find it later.

I have been unable to change the default landing page despite many hours of trying. You can change the name only

(It's not possible to make one of your static-pages into the landing page, because static pages don't have dates attached to them.)

It's a personal daily journal so the articles aren't very stand-alone especially without context.
