How to "unsubscribe"

I am apparently subscribed to a thread; I did not consciously elect to do this, and I'm getting inundated with e-mails notifying me of replies to the thread. I can look at my list of subscribed threads, but I don't see how to UN-subscribe from the thread. How do I do this?

I have no subscribed threads so I don't know how to unsubscribe.

If you were to click on FAQ (http://www.freethought-forum.com/forum/faq.php?) in the toolbar, and further if you were to know that "email notifications" (http://www.freethought-forum.com/forum/faq.php?faq=faq_freethoughtforum#faq_vb_email_notification) are the same as "subscriptions", you will get to a helpful message Freethought Forum does not have any paid subscriptions available to which you can subscribe.
All completely opaque and confusing, not to say useless, hey, vm? Liv?

Try this: you know how to list your subscriptions (http://www.freethought-forum.com/forum/subscription.php?do=viewsubscription). Click the 'Check/uncheck all' checkbox (in the column headings after 'Notification'). At the bottom of the table, where it says 'Selected threads:', select 'Delete subscription' and click GO.

maddog, it most likely is the quick edit subscribing you to threads every time you use it. The easiest way to undo it is just click on quick edit in one of your posts on the subscribed thread and uncheck the subscribe box.

Thank you both. Yes, I had checked the FAQ, and discovered there was no heading at all about "subscriptions."

I changed the title of the FAQ entry to "How do I subscribe/unsubscribe to a thread? (http://www.freethought-forum.com/forum/faq.php?faq=faq_freethoughtforum#faq_vb_email_notification)" but I couldn't find that stupid little sentence, Joe. All I saw was the full description of the process which is basically unchanged from the vB default FAQ entry.
