I feel sort of, I don't know, out of sorts, but not in a bad way, because I haven't been home much lately. Except for to pick up the new car and drive it like mad all up and down the coast.

The travel bug has bit me hard; it's almost impossible to imagine being "home" for more than 4 days at a time. When I was in Dallas recently I really wanted to make a side trip to Austin but had little energy for driving; air travel seems to have become a way of life.

Between now and the end of April, I have so many final destinations for both work and pleasure that I can't hardly keep them all orderly in my head without The Master Calendar. Is this a good, or bad, thing?

Also, (shout-out to Lunachick!) I will be traveling on June 20th to Australia for 2 days, then to Papua New Guinea for 7 days, then to New Zealand for 5. A total of 2 weeks. It's sort of my dream trip, revisting the old stomping grounds and such. With the exception of the shots and preemptive Cloroquine for malaria, I can't wait.

Anyway, there's really no rhyme or reason to this post other to bitch and moan about the fact that I just got home (after a one day trip) and have to fly out in less than ten hours again for another one day trip, work related.

Oh and also, I am responding to myself here to be completely and utterly shameless in being the first to wish my own self a Happy Birthday! 32 years, where the eff did the time go? Not that it matters, really :)

Happy Birthday!

Traveling and seeing people and places you want to see is a wonderful thing, a real opportunity that few ever have. Go with it and enjoy!

You mentioned your birthday as an afterthought to your yummy travel thread?! That ain't right. Then again, you're going to Australia. There are opals there. Many, many opals. Start your own damn bday thread, heifah. :hmph:

:bday2: :bday: :bday2:

And happy trails. :)

Be sure and give Lunachick a hug from me. I mean it!
