May the season of gluttonous chocolate consumption not curse you with a gazillion fat zits!
Have a safe and joyous long weekend, everyone.

That's cute.
I didn't even know it was Good Friday until nobody came to pick up my trash and recyclables.

Every Friday is a good Friday. Payday is an excellent Friday. Regardless of what the following Sunday is.

Can't talk. Eating chocolate fertility symbol.

I wonder if I can find any Kinder eggs here? Those were precious treasures of yumminess in my childhood.

Personally, I always liked Robin Eggs, the blue speckled egg-shaped malted milk balls.

Any malted milk ball is a good malted milk ball. :homdrool:
I can't remember what my favorite Easter candy was. I should ask my siblings.

Oh yeah! Those were good. A bit thick around the middle, iirc, just a shade too much for my personal preference.

I always got to eat all the black jelly beans, nobody but me actually liked them.

Lucky bastard. They were my dad's favorites too and he owned all the jellybeans in the household. He kept them in his office.

Black jellybeans are the only ones worth eating.
Of course I'd still eat any jellybean.

You are going to make me go out and buy a bunch of candy aren't you? You bastards! :shakefist:

Nah, all that good pagan shit's off my list any more. Cholesterol, fats, yadda, yadda, yadda....
I do fondly remember the speckled malted milk balls. Those were a hit. And the small creme center eggs. The small ones; the big ones were too much goo. I was (and still am) a big fan of the boiled eggs....especially when the magically transformed into......devilled eggs. :pitch:
And gorging on chocolate rabbits. Ears first. Ear theft was a major household crime.
Dare one call them "dissed" eggs? Pater Dis?
What better than devilled eggs and Jesus Christ Superstar at max volume on the turntable/sound system first thing Easter morn? I'll probably have to burn some incense, too.
Everybody's saying Persephone is back in town.

I don't get all these people that don't celebrate Easter. Don't they know the Easter Bunny died so they could receive candy and boiled eggs?
Crumb

Not only did he die, but we boiled 'im up and had some nice bunny stew. :lolly:

Bun, of course.
Realize, though, that he's a thoroughly skeptical bunny, as can be discerned from his cocked right ear and perpetual quizzical look.
Bring it on!

We call those "Raisinettes".
After two indoor bunnies, my wife and I came to call them "rabbitraisins". They can usually be swept up with a broom. If they can't, your bunny needs more grass.
Don't we all?
Bunnies develop an amazing amount of character if not kept locked up in a cage all the time. We used to put Rosie in her cage every night and lock her in. She could be easily tempted with a coin of banana...she was a sucker for banana, even several hundred nights in a row.

That's one of his favorites, "bunnyonapedestal".
Note the chunk of apple. He's probably already sniffed it and is looking at me wielding the camera as though to ask, "Okay...where's the banana? What...no banana? You're gonna fob this chunk of apple off on me?"
livius drusus
03-27-2005, 03:06 AM
He is clearly highly underwhelmed by the apple. The hair sticking up on the tippy top of his vertical ear confirms that.
