From a thread posted at SC, this site (http://www.cockeyed.com/inside/howmuchinside.html) totally slays me. So far I've read the Goldshlager, mixed nuts, ramen noodles and conversation hearts sections and have come pretty close to splitting my proverbial sides.
Some of my favorite quotes from the Goldschlager (http://www.cockeyed.com/inside/goldschlager/goldschlager.html) entry:
"Much like champagne, Goldschlager has a reputation as a celebration drink. It is touted by style consultants for its ability to increase one's inner bling."
"To separate the gold flakes from the liquor, we decided to pour it though a filter. Target was all out of gold filters, so we used a coffee filter."
"While we waited for the gold flakes to dry, we had some time to dream up new schlagers. Googlie-eyeschlager. Cornschlager. Pushpinschalger. Also considered were hookschlager, legoschlager, diamondschlager, advilschlager, gummischlager, porkschlager, hairschlager and flyschlager."

ROFL! That is a great site!
It reminds me of one of the first websites I ever found back in the day, it was called "Bad Candy" and these people simply tried candy from all over the world and described it.
Totally pointless crap just for laughs. I love it.

Yeah, it's pretty funny. I really liked the ramen and the planters nuts. I gotta admit I've wondered if the Less Than 50% claim was true.

Exactly, Shea. A bunch of friends with a crappy camera, your basic sense of humor and some webspace just doing things that amuse them. In this case, it happens to be pretty educational too. Who knew ramen noodles were so damn long? ;)

Now see, I bet if they had counted the oil as non-peanut weight that would have put them over the 50%. :giggle:

I love Tara's pink metal kitchen cabinets (see Pumpkin). That retro look is expensive these days.

With matching sink and oven, no less. That is fab.

Yeah, it was pretty fab. It just needed different flooring.
Have you checked out paper towels yet? :tmlol:
Edit: ...and Sharpies!
Edited again, hours later: ...thanks for this site, liv! It's just what I needed.
Tampons do not glow, even if you shake them (http://www.cockeyed.com/science/tampons/tampons.html).
I did not know that.

You're kidding? I tried to find it years later but couldn't. I seriously laughed to tears at some of their description.

As for the 'how much' page, the one about conversation hearts...13% Pink = cherry cough syrup and footWe were going to grind up the bag of hearts with a coffee grinder to measure volume, but it started to smell like burning after a while.

I loved the bit where they send the powder to their senator. :D

"how much is inside a keg"At exactly 12:30am, three hours after being opened, the keg ran dry.
Some guests silently made a switch to hard alcohol and others banded together, forming small but effective beer search parties. Paradoxically, people who had the strongest desire for additional beer were least able to make the voyage.
Some of the search parties returned in triumph! Others returned in jaguar.

I hadn't read this thread until now but turned up one of the pages from the linked site in a GIS:
