Phew! One less thing to worry about. My gmail accounts will now last twice as long before they fill up. Now I only have to worry about dying before I'm three thousand years old. :D

Perhaps that's in reaction to this announcement (http://whatsnew.mail.yahoo.com/) from Yahoo!
That's enough space to keep thousands and thousands of emails -- so you'll never have to delete those important messages again!
Like some other things, just because I have it, doesn't mean I'll necessarily use it all. Although, it might not be bad for storage of large files that I don't want cluttering up my own hard drive.

Great, pretty soon, my google and yahoo and hotmail accounts will have more total memory than my PC. I noticed today that I am at 0% on all three. I've got to get to work on filling that space up.

Hmm... gMail is becoming more and more tempting every day. I'm currently paying $19.99 a year (and have been for several years) just to get POP3 access from Yahoo! Mail, while with gMail it comes free. The only other benefit I get from Yahoo! Mail is 2 gb of storage.
BUT
There are those pesky privacy issues (which I'm caring less and less about, truth be told) and gMail is still technically in "beta", which means that it might go away or they might start charging for it, in which case I would've gone through all the hassle of changing an e-mail address I've had for years and years for no reason.
:deepsigh:
Does anyone have any invitations laying around?

Does anyone have any invitations laying around?
I'm swimming in them.

Do I have to beg? 'Cause I will, y'know.

The easiest way for us to send you one is for you to email one of us. In gmail, once we receive a message from you, there is a handy button that allows us to "invite viscousmemories' (or whatever your email address is) to join gmail"
The thing seems to generate a likely gmail address based on the name given in the original email. At one time I couldn't figure a way around that, which is why my first gmail account was:
ceptster at gmail dot com
email me there, and unless they've switched off the 'invites' thing in the last couple of days, I'll send you an invite.
Once you have an account, you can invite yourself to make others.

Thanks for the hookup, cep, and for the offer, Crumb. :1thumbup:
So far it's pretty awesome. Easily imported my contacts from Yahoo! mail and Outlook, and I love some of the features it has.
