I no longer can tolerate your niceness. I am out of here! :glare:

Okay that's not what is really going on. A job opportunity has presented itself in a state far away from California. As much as I love California this is just too good to pass up.

Long story short. I will be off the internet for a while. We leave Thursday morning to be swallowed up by the South. I thought my daughter would be quite upset but she is all excited about checking out a new place. California is all she has ever known. Boy, I can't wait for the culture shock to set in. She might be yelling to go back to Cal.

I will miss you all alot, except for Crumb. :D

Bye Ex-z; you won't be missed by me either. What state are you off to?

Oh no! I mean, I'm thrilled at your opportunity and I think this is a great time for you to take it given your empty nest struggles, but what about my needs? :sobbing:

Congratulations, Ex-zombie. Please take very good care of you and yours and when you have a chance, please let us know all is well.

Do you have a FF replacement lined up Ex-z? You did read the fine print didn't you? You can't just leave without providing a comparable :asshat: to fill your niche.

I'm gonna miss you, ExZ. Though I am glad that you have this opportunity. You must return as soon as feasible.

And thanks for getting this stuck in my head with your post:

I'm going back to Cali. To Cali, to Cali.
I'm going back to Cali. I don't think so.

North Carolina actually, the state I grew up in. We will be within a couple hours drive of my family. That's another thing my daughter is excited about. We have never lived close to any family.

but what about my needs?

You will have the smilies to keep you company.

I'm sorry to see you go, EZ. I hope you find your way back online soon.

:sadbye:
That's so sweet. Thank you vm for the only non-selfish response.

Crumb, you are just the :asshat: to fill in for me while I am gone.

You returned the favor nicely, eldar. That song will run in a loop through my head for the rest of the day.

Yay, the infidels are taking over the South! Woo-hoo!

I thought my daughter would be quite upset but she is all excited about checking out a new place. California is all she has ever known. Boy, I can't wait for the culture shock to set in. She might be yelling to go back to Cal.

California was all I knew for 26 years. I miss it like hell some of the time. But most of the time I am really fucking happy and content right here in Augusta. The peach trees are blossoming. mmmmmm... peaches.

Movin' to the country,
gonna eat a lot of peaches
Movin' to the country,
Gonna eat me a lot of peaches
Movin' to the country,
gonna eat a lot of peaches
Movin' to the country,
gonna eat a lot of peaches
(Wow)

Peaches come from a can,
they were put there by a man
In a factory downtown
If I had my little way,
I'd eat peaches every day
Sun-soakin' bulges in the shade

We'll be waiting for your return EZ!

Crumb, you are just the :asshat: to fill in for me while I am gone.

Undoubtedly I could perform your :asshat: duties in my sleep, but I am swamped with so many other duties here and my own :asshat:edness that you really need to bring in a relief :asshat:.

Now get these lyrics out of your head

Movin' to the country,
gonna eat a lot of peaches
Movin' to the country,
Gonna eat me a lot of peaches
Movin' to the country,
gonna eat a lot of peaches
Movin' to the country,

Damn it Crumb. Stop being such a crybaby slacker. You have much work to do.

You need to be reminding vm about how he is responsible for all the bad things in the universe.

You need to post pics of the business end of navel oranges and discuss cilantro. Do these things for liv.

You need to wander around and respond to things that Ensign Steve posts by being a complete asshole.

Respond to things warrenly says and include the names warn or worn. He loathes that.

Do you want to be a slacker all your life, Crumb? Is that what you want? I thought not. Now get busy.

Anywhere near Raleigh? I spent some time working there. Of course, I think continental drift may have changed things since that time.

livius dearest, ex-z is just joining the ranks of those struggling to escape the crushing cycle of trying to fulfil your needs. It starts with a high, then you have to serve just one more need, then another, and pretty soon each day is focused on one thing only. We have to learn to let go, and so will you.

:control:

Oh. I thought I'd escaped.

You know, I read that and I start wishing that my life was one dedicated entirely to fulfilling liv's needs. I start wondering why am I not good enough to be subjugated by :livcrop:

What you describe as a crushing cycle, I see as a life dedicated to the worship and adoration of :livpope:
