I can't believe none of you lazy mother lovers have had this awesome idea before now. I swear, I have to do every damn thing around here! Okay, so anybody who isn't lisapea can help your fellow :ff:ers fill out their jerb applications. I mean, the stupid parts, like when they do personality profiles on you. Because, you know, who knows me better than the :ff:? NOBODY THAT'S WHO, SHUT UP!

So, on account of needing to feed my face and everything I've been looking for a jerb. This most recent company dumb enough to let me apply sent an application - and it's never just the ordinary stuff (name, rank, serial number). No, now they want to know more about you - LIKE ANY OF THAT MATTERS. This one came with what they call a PREDICTIVE INDEX (two of them, actually).

I have a list of words from which to choose. I have to check each word that applies per the directions for each set of lists. (Both lists of words are the same.)

The first section I have to select all the words that describe the way I am expected to act by others.

The second section (remember! same words!) I have to select all the words that describe me.

I would specifically pick sets of words that are as opposite as possible

So for the "others expect" choose Dominant
But on your forrealz self choose Passive

I think you should pick mutually exclusive words within each group. After all, everybody wants to hire someone who is simultaneously relaxed, exciting, obedient, obstinate, audacious, and careful. Then at the end, be sure to include Consistent.

So Predictive Index stuff: here's what they are measuring:

And here's a sample result- mine. My older sister works in corporate HR and I did this test with her a while back and then she gave me the results and we sat down and went over them. They take the two sets of responses and look at them individually and then synthesize the two also. I wish I could give you better information on how the outcomes are determined but it has been a while. I don't know how much of the analysis is Forer Effect (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Forer_effect) but I would say a good portion of my results apply, there are some specific assessments I thought less accurate.
