The words still feel funny coming out of my mouth (or fingertips, as it were). Fast forward from 2005 to present and I have finagled part time employment for reals (not that 10-99 stuff doesn't count but this is more reliable).
So I said to myself, what are your skills? What do you do? Where do your professional qualifications get you if you choose to mire yourself once again in the deep sea of corporate bhlarghiness which I made up to express why I left the field originally.
My self responded as such: decent pay, flexible hours, shit I can do with my hands tied behind my back. And... I get to work once again with peoples I was friends with back in the day! Win-win-win!!!

decent pay, flexible hours...
Sounds great!
shit I can do with my hands tied behind my back...
Huh. That's actually a condition for a job that I'd never thought of before, and I can see how it could really restrict your options. But I guess if you often go around with your hands tied behind your back, you'd need a job that accommodated this. Like, pie-eating champion. A professional lobbed-Smartie catcher, also good. Working as a face-print placer in the testing division of a window-cleaning products company. Or as a guide at the Harry Houdini Museum? Anyhow, whichever of these jobs you have decided to take, I salute you and wish you the best!

I must admit, my first thought was not one of those ...
