Minor bug in Quick Edit

For a while now, I have been trying to figure out why seemingly random threads I was participating in suddenly turned up on my "Subscrubed Threads List". I have thread subscriptions turned off in my user CP. I have never intentionally subscribed to any thread. So why, I wondered, were any threads showing up as being subscribed to?

I finally figured it out this evening. At the bottom of the Quick Edit box, there is a check box that says "Subscribe" and is checked by default. This is a minor matter; I can always try to remember to uncheck it whenever I use the Quick Edit feature. I consider it a bug since it really should be well enough integrated to utilize the user's preferences.

It's actually a temporary fix (http://www.freethought-forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2130) for an upgrade bug. It drives me crazy too as I never subscribe to anything. Hopefully vm will find a solution soon.

I had a vague memory of seeing a thread title about Quick Edit recently, so I did take a quick look before I posted. Honest I did. Unfortunately I saw the one Wildernesse started and missed the relevant one. :doh:

It's nothing to be embarassed about, really. Besides, since vm subscribes to every thread he posts in, he might could use a little incentive (beyond my incessant whining) to get QE fixed. ;)

Yeah--vm, you know that I repeatedly post "This is completely unacceptable" in Forum Administration threads because I feel the complete opposite, that I think it's unbelievable how pimped-out and blazingly-well-administered this forum is, even with changes coming out to things I never have and never would think of? This is my one exception. :P I really hate being subscribed to threads. ;)
