My husband, my step-son and I have been bowling on Saturday nights for a while. :strike:
My highest score so far was 157 this last Saturday night. :irwinnar:

I love bowling. My secret weapon is tequila shots. I bowl like a champ after two of those.

Maybe I should give that a try - I'm incredibly erratic when I bowl. Gutter-Strike-Gutter-Strike.

With that said :^: , this last Saturday, when I bowled by best game of 157, I had worked from 8 until 9 the previous Friday night (after working my normal full time work week) and then from 8 until 3 that Saturday. On my way home, I stopped and bought a bottle of wine; had a couple glasses before I went bowling and then sipped on more throughout the night.

I've only bowled once in my life. I have no idea what I scored, but I'm sure it was atrocious.

A co-worker that I showed the pic of my coming ball today, said, "huh, I didn't know you bowled.. " I said, "hey, it's better than crack". He thought that was incredibly funny/strange/whatever but what he doesn't know is that that's my standard come-back.
srsly, the whole bowling thing is just something new to get into. I know it's 99.9% most likey to be a passing thing (within a year or so), but good gawd... I love that ball! :powerwoot:
I'm an excellent bowler on the Wii.
I suck in real life though. I think I've broken 100 once, on accident.

I took bowling in college so I ought to be better than I am in RL or the Wii. Got a turkey the other night on the Wii though! :strike:
Very kewl ball Shell!! Do you have shoes and the whole 9 yards? I had considered getting shoes when we used take the kids all the time they eventually pay for themselves if you go often enough.
More recently taking the small horde bowling has been passed up for such other sports as grocery shopping lol -- we haven't been real bowling in a while.

omg, my daughter was go NUTZ over that ball
primarily because that art work is right up her "alley"...
she is a voracious reader of the genre that depicts
the powers unleashed in the gloaming
bowling was an occasional event with the kids,
and without fail, just like the kids', my ball often
spent time rolling toward the pins only by the grace
of a gutter bumper... of course, the alley is now closed
and likely should have been long ago...
i bet the experience is way different in a glitzy, well-kept
facility where ya didnt feel a need to wipe everything
with sani-cloths....
Bowling is just an excuse to drink pitcher beer and quote The Big Lebowski, right?

Oh sure, Shelli posts a pic of that bowling ball and calls it badass and none of you say "peep". If it were me, I'd get all nerd-hooted at.
Bastards.
PS: Shelli that ball is very badass.
Watser?

If it were you, it would be a matched set of twelve bowling balls each featuring The Flash in a variant costume matching a sign of the Zodiac or something.
And I would hoot.
But I would secretly be jealous.
