And tell us why.
Come on, you know you have one. :chin:
Or maybe two. :yup:
I'll start with some of mine.

"She Blinded Me with Science" - Thomas Dolby
"Tainted Love" - Soft Cell
"Shout" - Tears for Fears
"So Far Away" - Dire Straits

Why?
Hands-down the happiest time of my life - going to college at the University of Washington; my first introduction to punk rock, new wave, rockabilly - and real life.

"Our House" - Madness
"Sweet Dreams" - Eurythmics
(PS: Can OCD be contagious? I might have caught some of it from liv. This thread title has the decade only (80s), but the sister thread title is formatted differently as "1990s". This bothers me. I should seek help.)

Van Halen: Panama and Unchained, Hot for Teacher, Ain't talkin 'bout love/you really got me.
Beastie Boys: You gotta fight for your right to....
Motley Crue: Wild Side, Girls Girls Girls, She's got the looks that kill,
Bon Jovi: You Give Love a Bad Name
Quiet Riot: Cum on Feel the Noize
Ozzy: Crazy Train, Over the Mountain, Suicide Solution, Bark at the Moon
Dio: Gypsy, Rainbow in the Dark
All that old metallica, but esp: Call of Ktulu, Master of Puppets, and I remember thinking Seek and Destroy was the shit, but I made myself kind of sick of it.
AC/DC: Back in Black (the whole album, front to back, preferably while drinking beer and playing darts.)
The Cars: Let the good times roll (technically 1978, but who's counting, I wasn't familiar with it until 1985 or so.)
Rush: Tom Sawyer
There was a bunch of of Led Zep and CCR I was listening to in the '80s, but I guess they aren't really '80s.

Anything by Dire Straits.
Although their first album (with "Sultans of Swing") and Communique were both products of the 70s, Making Movies and Brothers in Arms were early 80s products and I've been boogin' to them ever since.
Mark Knopfler also scored the all-time great film Princess Bride.

Dire Straights is all good stuff.
I liked Men at Work too, but only their Business As Usual album, their second one, Cargo, sucked rotten kangaroo dicks by comparison.
I was just trying to pick out stuff others hadn't mentioned, but if I can include the others:
I still like to hear Tainted Love by Soft Cell when it comes on the radio as well as
I Wear My Sunglasses At Night by Corey Hart. Speaking of sunglasses, The Future's So Bright I Got To Wear Shades by Timbuk3 was my theme song when I first came into the home office fresh from the field. I also liked Our House by Madness and most everything by the Eurythmics

Some of these are depressing, most I just like because they're beautiful and weird.
Soft Cell ~ Tainted Love
Tears for Fears ~ Shout
Men at Work ~ Land Down Under, Who Can It Be Now
Eurythmics ~ Sweet Dreams, Here Comes The Rain Again
CheapTrick ~ Surrender
Bugglers ~ Video Killed the Radio Star
Mike N Mechanics ~ Silent Running
Tom Petty (&The Heartbreakers) ~ Don't Come Around Here No More, Free Falling, I Won't Back Down, Zombie Zoo
I loved Zombie Zoo the first time I heard the album, Full Moon Fever for it's spooky horror movie sound. Odd that some fifteen years later I actually hear songs from the subculture TP's talking about...
Bauhaus ~ Double Dare, The Passion Of Lovers, She's in Parties
The Damned ~ Grimly Fiendish
Siouxie & The Banshees ~ Dear Prudence, Cities In Dust
The Cure ~ Lovesong

Listening to A Message In a Box - The Police, and I can't believe I didn't nominate:
Message In A Bottle by The Police
Just a castaway
An island lost at sea
Another lonely day
With no one here but me
More loneliness
Than any man could bear
Rescue me before I fall into despair
I'll send an SOS to the world
I'll send an SOS to the world
I hope that someone gets my
Message in a bottle
A year has passed since I wrote my note
But I should have known this right from the start
Only hope can keep me together
Love can mend your life
But love can break your heart
I'll send an SOS to the world
I'll send an SOS to the world
I hope that someone gets my
Message in a bottle
Walked out this morning
Don't believe what I saw
A hundred billion bottles
Washed up on the shore
Seems I'm not alone at being alone
A hundred billion castaways
Looking for a home
I'll send an SOS to the world
I'll send an SOS to the world
I hope that someone gets my
Message in a bottle
Sending out an SOS

I've been listening to the 80s station on my cable all morning and it's reminded me that I love:
Turn Your Love Around - George Benson
Talking In Your Sleep - The Romantics
Here I Go Again - Whitesnake
Love In An Elevator - Aerosmith
I must now echo Will's God help me.

Oh yeah, Phil Collins and Phil Bailey singing Easy Lover and Cutting Crew's I Just Died In Your Arms Tonight. This station has been keeping me well entertained today.
