(Wait for the poll...)
I know it is a stereotypical fantasy of men to watch two women perform various sex acts with one another. This poll is to see how universal said fantasy actually is and, more importantly, to determine what percentage of women may have the opposite fantasy. It's a private poll so relax and please be honest.

So far, everybody likes it!
I'll just chime in and say that I'm the stereotypical straight man who likes watching two women get it on.

I've never really thought it of as enjoying watching lesbian sex per se. For me, it's more like I enjoy watching a woman have sex. In this particular case, it just happens to be with one or more women.

Interesting eldar, maybe I should have added a few more options.
I am a man who voted for the first option, too. I am not surprised by the male result. (though this is a bit preliminary.) The women's responses are somewhat surprising. Though they may change wiht a little more exposure. I expected a near 50-50 split.
So the question I really have is why is the attitude of men stereotypical and discussed in popular culture, while the women who are aroused by seeing men together is not part of our popular culture?
ETA: I am also curious as to whether the women are as comfortable admitting this fantasy as men are.

For whatever reason, pornography is largely directed toward heterosexual men. Yes, there are niche pornographers for homosexuals and just about anyone else, but the overwhelming majority of pornography is for the heterosexual male market.
As porn becomes more widespread and "more or less" mainstream, it's only natural that the particular device of lesbian sex in heterosexual porn would be discussed.
I don't think it's entirely that simple, but it must be a factor.

I don't respond reliably to any one genre of porn, although there are examples in almost every genre (NO, not including scat and Roman showers) that turn my crank.
I don't always get off on images of men having sex, but if they're the right images I do enjoy them. It helps that the guys in gay porn are pretty good-looking, and that gay porn usually isn't burdened by laughable attempts at plot.

I answered "I am a man and I am aroused by the idea of watching lesbian sex", but in truth I'm far more aroused by actually watching lesbian sex than the mere idea of it. :P
I think you missed a pretty critical angle by not differentiating between the responses of heterosexual and homosexual people, though. I would think in general gay people are going to derive more enjoyment from watching gay people have sex.

Ironically, I'm not much into lesbian sex.
BTW, I know someone who will happily watch either variety of homosexual thing, but thinks het sex is squicky.

 Oops! I guess I just exposed my heterosexism. I don't suppose gay males would say they were aroused by lesbian sex though. (and vice versa) So I guess they would just click no.

I was struggling with how to word this. I was thinking that some people might not necessarily actually want to watch it, but still might be aroused by the fantasy of doing so. Am I the only one that has fantasies that turn me on to think about, but that I know I wouldn't acually want to do?

Am I the only one that has fantasies that turn me on to think about, but that I know I wouldn't acually want to do?No. I have indeed entertained fantasies involving things that I know I would never do. These almost invariably involve persons of my own gender and I'm pretty damn sure I would never actually engage in such, I'm far to conservative and reserved in real life to do so.
I voted. I'm sure that since I once posted an erotic image of two kilted men embracing, my answer would be obvious. :P

NO. You are not alone, my friend.
A (straight, male) friend of mine coined a term -- "PMS". No, it's not what you think -- it stands for "Post-Masturbation Syndrome". In his words: "You know how sometimes you're roughing up the suspect, and you get deep into a fantasy about something that you'd never, ever do in real life? And then you pop your load and instantaneously you're like 'EWWWW! I can't believe I came to that!' That's PMS."
IIRC, everyone around the campfire fell silent at that exact moment, and my friend was deeply embarrassed. But we were all silent because we knew exactly what he meant.

I'm not fond of male homosexuality in general but then I'm not greatly aroused by nude or sexual images of men in general so, I'm just less visual especially as far as men are concerned.
I think in general though, society/most people (male or female) find female homosexuality more beautiful, arousing and acceptable. Just a gender difference and the shape of the bodies, plus the fluency or sharpness of the differing sexualities and gender roles I think.

I think much of it has to do with our sexual make up. Men are more physically driven in the sexual aspect where as women are more emotional. Men are more prone to like porn for that reason. You may find that straight men would like lesbian sex, while gay men will like gay sex.
