Years ago we wanted to buy a sectional and I had my heart set on this particular fabric. It was quite popular and I found it several places. One place wanted 2400 for the same one I saw for 800 elsewhere so I was all "What the hell, does it convert to a car or something?" and they were like "Oh this one has a hardwood frame and the cheaper ones have partical board (or whatever)"...yea but if the frame breaks I can buy 2 more couches for the price of this one. And who has ever replaced a couch due to a broken frame anyway? It's almost always a fabric problem isn't it? *

So, as happens, I need a new couch because the fabric is no longer cleaning well and looks dingy and shabby after 6 years and dogs and toddlerhood.

I found this company (http://homereserve.com/) and guess what? You can take the fabric off to wash it, or replace it entirely...and not like slipcovers either, it's made to be easily removable. And there is storage in each module.

Smart.

*We had to replace that couch because the dog ate the cushions. The frame was in perfect condition.

If you buy one, please let us know how you like it (comfort wise & how well it is made, etc.)

Yeah that's the gamble, you can't test it out. I am reading customer reviews and watching vids.

I'm thinking about a new couch but I'm not sure. I don't do much (any) entertaining and my living room is an odd shape, so I might try some alternative furnishing solution as yet unknown.

I was under the impression that this would be a thread about those refrigerators that can order new beer when you run out or dressers that buy new underwear or something!

I am very disappointed!!

As am I, but I suppose that the furniture Shea is describing is "Alabama smart", if you know what I mean.

When I first saw the title I thought it would be furniture that was like newer car seats that "remember" the settings for each driver with a push of a button?
