This was diverting for a couple minutes. The sound effects are annoying, though.

I was surprised at the number of them that I knew! Even those I didn't get perfect, I was pretty damn close.

94%; 7 miles; 276 seconds (would've been faster, but I was distracted by work).

Damn, warren! Good score! :)

Would've been better if my second state hadn't been Nebraska. I knew it was out there somewhere in the middle, but I missed it by 135 miles.

My score was killed by Colorado. Damn those square states! You're right, though, it really does depend on the order they throw 'em at you. If you got all the outer ones first, it'd be a cinch to fill in the inner ones, once you had the frame to guide you.

I don't even have to try this game to know I suck at it. I am remarkably ignorant of US geography, even though I had a jigsaw puzzle of the states when I was a kid. All I remember is that the Montana piece had little bison graphics on it and was really, really cute.

My score was killed by Colorado.

If it makes you feel any better, lots of the time when I'm trying to hit Colorado on one of those online interactive thingies, even WITH borders, I end up hitting something else instead. I kind of blame eyesight and kind of hand-eye coordination. Which brings me to my score: 84%, average error 78 miles!

I put the first state out in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean is part of the reason for that, and then I twice lost control of the mouse somehow and dropped something somewhere I knew it didn't go, and then the phone rang, which made me drop something in the ocean again.

I would make, like, the worst god ever.

Maybe, lisarea, but at least your bible would be a fun read, especially 1st and 2nd Little Muffin and ODB 3:16.

78%, average error 88 miles, 361 sec. The fact that my wireless mouse batteries died round about North Dakota accounts for only a few seconds. Some of those states are quite picky about you placing them right, while others accept it if you're mostly overlapping.

Where my knowledge of US geography failed me, I tried to guess from the angle of the straight east-west borders many states have - on that projection they curve! What a giveaway! Obviously it didn't help much.

OMFG. I went to take it again to redeem myself, and I MISSED ALASKA.

I totally for serious MISSED ALASKA. I put it like halfway outside of the WHOLE ALASKA BOX SO IT MADE ME GO BACK AND TRY IT AGAIN.

That game sucks.

86%; 29 miles; 372 s. I am pissed that I fucked up Colorado and I did bad with Nevada too. :(

Exactly. Join me in a boycott of it.

The order that the states come in definitely changes things a bit. My worst one was 94%, avg. 5 miles off. The last time was 96%, 3 miles, 221 sec.

MS always seems to be among the first ones. I had a little trouble placing exactly where Iowa or Arkansas went without any of the nearby states already in place. Most of the rest were pretty easy.

I think it's a poorly designed test. My first state was Kentucky. How in hell can being off by 10 pixels to the southwest be wrong? A better design would give the blank map and then have you click within a state's borders to be correct.

88%, 20 miles, 353 secs.

Pissweak, but that was just a warmup. No more Mr Nice Guy :glare:  .

78%, 90 miles.

So in other words I'm less familiar with American geography than a South African.

I'm not American, so I don't think this is too bad

98%, 9 mi, 612 sec

I missed South Dakota, which was lame because I had just put North Dakota up on the map. I thought it was hard and some of the states required a lot of concentration to figure out where they should go.

I'm impressed with those who could get through it so quickly. I was trying to visualize a map so that I could precisely plce the states.

My kids like the game. I think it is a get states geography learning tool.:)

86%, 15 miles, 285 seconds. My first three states were Kansas, Tennessee and South Dakota, which screwed me up bigtime. Bah ...
