Who the hell is David Hasselhoff ?
I know I've heard the name somewhere, but it doesn't ring many bells for me.

He was the human in Knight Rider. Considerably less charismatic than the car, as it turned out, but he made a few hideous pop albums which sold millions only in Germany. justaman has a thing (http://www.freethought-forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2609) for him and requested a Hoff smiley this morning.

Oh yeah. I always forget that. I watched Knight Rider religiously in my youth and have never seen a single episode of Baywatch.

He was also "Snapper" Foster, a young doctor on The Young and the Restless, back in the day.

Abomination!
Should this come to pass, the glads shall unleash their venom upon the world and, lo, there shall be wailing and lamentations.

Gurdur lives in Germany. Baywatch is part of the public education system there. He is so obviously kidding.

Now... I don't know if it's my hearing or my friends.
I've heard the names of these programs pronounced as "BabeWatch", so called by my male friends who could never satisfactorily describe a plot, and "The Young and the Rest of Us", so called by my darling wife, whose only soap it was.
