View Full Version : Good smilie use
After my previous request I realised that I now know enough about smilie creation to build it myself. But I came up with some different alternatives. So, which, if any, do you like?

I also made these 3D versions of "thank you" and "good idea": :thankyou: :rarrow: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v437/SecretCode/thanxsign-3d.gif :goodidea: :rarrow: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v437/SecretCode/goodidea-3d.gif

It's smiley making fever! This rules. I voted for number one because I like the spinning and I think the all caps is the most legible. I think they're all a little hard to read, though. That's why I haven't been able to come up with a good one myself: I can't do the text right.

I voted for the round the pole with the large sign. I think the text is more readable on the large sign and I don't like the way the outline of the bouncing smiley's bum disappears as he bounces.

In the editor, it looked as though it was a flat black line - ie a compressed bounced-upon bum - but that doesn't seem to be really there. eta: I know where I got this wrong. Corrections to follow.
All y'all 'Merkins will follow the use of "bum" here, I'm sure.
I like the ones that go round. They just seem so damn happy. :)
I voted for the most legible one, the 3rd one down.

rl intervened there for a while but I've updated the bouncing images. You might need to refresh to see them. But it's not much different.

Well, I can't speak for the rest of the 'Merkins, but I just consider the source. :D

I voted the third down as well, I found the twirling smilie to be quite jovial and the sign to be quasi legible.
Since there's room enough on the sign for a wider font:

Oops! I meant to vote for the sixth one, but I think I accidentally voted for "They're all useless"! I didn't mean it, I swear! I like them all but I prefer a bouncy one because the twirly ones make me dizzy.
