The green/yellow guys were actually a wee oversight from back before we even opened the forum, but I didn't realize it until they'd both been used so I didn't want to delete one (probably the green one just because he's not shaded as well as yellow).

IOW, sometimes in a yellow mood, sometimes in a green mood. If you got a problem with that, them Legs will kick your sweet ass.

You'd be surprised to hear that this very question has kept me up nights. Okay, maybe you wouldn't be all that surprised, but still...

I don't know, Joe. I think my general tendency is to replace obscure smilies but to accept the old/crappy versions if they've been extensively used or discussed. For example, our special cheerleader and green freaky really can't be replaced at this point.

Yeah, she could do with a teeth whitening. I swear I love her so much cuz she looks just like me, but even my teeth aren't that flesh-colored. I think next week I might animate her.

I just love the way she offers us her pretty shamrocks with such enthusiasm, even though she hasn't brushed her hair in a month. So much like me.

What kind of system does FF use for the smilies? Do the posts get parsed at the time of posting and the smilies inserted at that time or do they get parsed for each view? If they are parsed each time they're viewed then I can see your predicament as older posts could be inaccurate, but if they are parsed at the time of posting then I say upgrade away.

I've noticed that that is the method that deviantART uses for their emotes and it seems to have worked well for them so far :1thumbup:
