Permission to use a smiley elsewhere?

Am I allowed to use any of your smilies off this forum? obviously not to upload onto another forum for everyone to use but just as an occasional embellisment to my posts there? I won't if there's not kosher; I dunno what the etiquette about these things is :)*

Sure. People hotlink to our smilies on other forums a fair bit. I don't mind at all if it's a member, although vm recently uncovered a couple of total strangers using them in sigs on another board and that kinda made me harumph. They weren't any of the ubercool ones either. What's the point of that?

Oh dear... I sense some poor schmoes are about to be inundated by pifs.

You right click on a smiley and choose "Copy Image Location". You then paste that location between tags. You can also get the url by r-clicking, choosing "Properties" and highlighting the displayed url.

Heh cool thanks :). I borrowed the fallen angel one to use on a xian message board I sometimes post on (actually I borrowed it BEFORE I asked and then worried if I should have or not). I won't do it often but it's nice to know that's it's okay from time to time :)
