Well shucks, I guess it's my turn, isn't it?

1. How'd you find the Freethought Forum?
I was in HH and II when FF was born, so I knew of it from the beginning.

2. Are you a member of any other online forums? Which?
Internet Infidels and Heathenhangout, though I don't post very often at either of them any more. I used to occasionally post at a J.R.R. Tolkien website, but haven't done so in quite a while. I used to make the occasional post at "Mr. Cranky's Movie Reviews," but that place definitely wasn't my style.

Some things I've written have been posted by others at websites where I've never bothered to register. That's quite flattering, I think.

3. How do you feel about smilies (emoticons)?
I seldom use them, but they're occasionally handy.

4. How do you feel about 2000+ smilies?
...

5. Is flaming: A. Hilarious B. Beneath you C. Irritating as fuck
If someone were to make me angry enough to want to "flame" them, I'd consider it a failing on my part.

6. Is vulgar language: A. Hilarious B. Beneath you C. Irritating as fuck
I rarely, if ever swear. Not because I think it's wrong in any way, but because it's not my thing.

7. Why did the chicken cross the road?
The galliform avian traversed the vehicular pathway in order to achieve its goal of reaching the opposing embankment.

8. Who pays for your food?
I do.

9. What's one thing you've always wanted to do but never have?
Visit the Galapagos Islands.

10. What is your single favorite place in the world?
Linville Gorge, North Carolina.

11. What's the significance of your username?
Even as a kid, I always admired TLR's committment to justice, and his determination to always treat others with courtesy and respect. I hope to be just like him when I grow up.

12. What about your avatar?
It seemed appropriate.

I think you got there a little ahead of schedule. :yup: Thank you for being here and for writing such consistently fascinating posts and articles.

Hi there! TLR was my favorite show till it stopped airing when I was six or so. I wanted to be an Injun side kick.

From the little that I've seen of it, Linville Gorge is so beautiful that I can understand why it would be your favorite place. Don't go making me feel adventurous! What especially do you like about Linville Gorge?

It's indeed beautiful! It's one of the few (relatively) undisturbed natural areas in the Eastern U.S. It's a wonderful place for hiking, camping, wildflower viewing, taking a swim in ice-cold and crystal-clear waters, and just generally getting away from it all -- assuming you can escape all the tourists, anyway.

Plus, I have a real thing for waterfalls, and I think Linville Falls (http://www.jerrygreerphotography.com/images/BRP_Autumn_colors_adorn_Linville_Falls_WEB_LG.jpg) has gotta be one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the world!

Cheers,

Michael
