View Full Version : Really, really shitty day
reprise

It must be the alignment of the planets or something. It's just been one of those days when everyone "should" feel great but we've all hit rock bottom at the same time. I basically just want space in which to babble. I figure that liv will kick my butt bigtime if my babbing is inappropriate. I know that this will feel better in the morning - it just doesn't feel that way tonight.
Babble, babble. Just thanks for listening.

Oh, I hear ya; it's been a whole shitty week.
Wish you were in the neighbourhood - I'd grab a bottle of tequila from somewhere, and we could drown our sorrows trogether. Strike up some late night, street corner chorus and sing the blues till we get arrested.

I'm right there with you, reprise. I still have the headache I went to sleep with, my teeth feel like I've been chewing sandpaper, and I'm so, so tired. I hope you're feeling better this morning, but if not babble on to your heart's content.

This sign good for one hug.
I hear ya, reprise. If you replace "shitty" with "long", I could say that I'm going through the same thing (slept in to the afternoon, and I've been up all night, and will have to be up for awhile longer...blech...).

I've had more such days than not, reprise. As liv said, babble to your heart's content. You won't be alone here. :)

Count me in this pity party-- I'm feeling very sorry for myself.

How's everyone feeling today? I could be worse, but chirpy I ain't. Let's see if I can find a graphic depiction of my mood. Eh. This is as close as it gets: :indifferent:

So what does one do when one's Ultimate Underlying Cause For Crappiness is not work week related? No weekend relief for the Walking Time Bombs! It would be nice not to have to actually be conscious, get out of bed, dress and function out in the world. Unfortunately, I've only got Sunday morning for that luxury this weekend.

I suspect it never really is.
No weekend relief for the Walking Time Bombs!
Or rest for the wicked.
It would be nice not to have to actually be conscious,
Ah yes, like the majority of my life between the ages of 12 and 34. I call those the good ole days. :)
get out of bed, dress and function out in the world.
Sadly, this affliction has always been with me. Although it does remind me of a rather hilarious comic strip (http://www.redmeat.com/redmeat/1996-07-22/index.html) I saw once.
Unfortunately, I've only got Sunday morning for that luxury this weekend.
Make the best of it! :)

I'm so bloody tired. Daughter the younger chose yesterday to develop croup and start spiking a temperature of 39. I think it's going to be a looooong weekend.

Youch, that's hot. (Okay so I had to Google a conversion from Celsius... sue me)
I hope your daughter improves quickly, reprise. :(

She'll be fine. It was just really bad timing coming on top of a particularly crappy day and means that the options for just getting out off the house for some distance are somewhat limited.

:haha:
Having PMS didn't help anything either this past week. I've got piles of laundry; crumbs on the kitchen floor; pigeons crapping on my house (and a big bruise on my thigh from falling off the last couple of ladder steps while trying to hose off said pigeon poop); issues with my youngest daughter and a bit of a fight with the public school regarding these issues, (culminating in a 4:30 pm phone call one day last week telling me that she couldn't come back to the before and after care program until the problem was solved); and then just a general feeling sorry for myself that I must deal with all this stuff on my own. Yup, my own little pity party.
