Okay, okay. Here's :hermione:. I didn't upload her before because I thought (and still think) that's she's totally generic looking, but I just couldn't stand to see Beth pout like that.
I tossed in the rest of Mazeguy's HP collection too: :ron: :draco: :moody:

I like the Ron and Malfoy .. would never have guessed that was moody though! Looks a bit like Beethoven or someone..

I could tell it was Moody, on accounta the eye. How come he wasn't there before?

Er ... isn't this Barad-dur, rather than Orthanc? :orthanc:
Orthanc didn't have the big wing-like extensions, nor the top portion where the Eye of Sauron resided. Or am I mis-remembering?
Cheers,
Michael

Should have known this is where Gurdur got them from. He's been impressing us with LOTR smilies and I thought him so clever! I must remember that his cleverness only extends as far as coming here to steal them. :yup:

In the movie Orthanc did have those spikes at the top, like where the Eye sat - recall Gandalf's being imprisoned up there. Not sure about wings. Barad-Dur on the other hand is a vast many-towered fortress; despite the wings, :orthanc: does look like the single spire of Orthanc.

I think you can strike that one from your list:
Orthanc (http://www.collecttolkien.com/images/Orthanc.jpg)
Barad-dur (http://img-nex.theonering.net/images/scrapbook/6866.jpg)
Although, I guess they do kinda look similar. But, I say that the absence of the lidless eye confirms that the smiley is Orthanc. That and the spikey-thing in the middle of the two wings at the top of the tower would be basically impaling the Eye, if it were Barad-dur.

Not only all that, but if you look at the file name of the icon, it says "orthanc", so the creator meant it that way.
