Now don't make fun, I'm just wanting to buy a good condom just in case she (http://www.freethought-forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2836) decides to take my virginity away. Ron Jeremy's Wager if you will. What's the safest brands?

As long as you avoid the lambskin and stick to latex I think they're all equally safe. Definitely go with lubricated. My personal favorite brand is Lifestyles Ultra Thin (http://www.condomdepot.com/products/ls-thin.htm). I see they've just come out with a new easy to open version (http://www.condomdepot.com/products/ls-discmax.htm) too. Whoever invented that should get the Nobel prize, imo.
You should probably get a variety of different kinds and just experiment with them before the blessed event. See which ones fit you best, roll down the shaft best, don't drive you crazy trying to determine which way is inside-out in the dark, that kind of thing.

Wow- I haven't used condoms in what feels like forever! When we did use them though, we were partial to the Trojan-Ultra Thin (http://trojancondoms.com/product_info/trojanselector/files/ultra_thin_spermlube/6.html) one, without the spermicide. I dont know about other ladies, but that spermicide burns! :(
Sometimes you just have to try out a few different brands until you find the ones you like :)

I've never really liked Trojans. I used them in college back in the day because we could get free by the metric ton at the health center, but I don't like unlubricated condoms and the lubed Trojans always felt gloppy to me. :shudder:

I tell ya, it's really bad when my posts look like all I'm doing is sucking up to liv...especially given this particular thread subject.
But, I do swear by Lifestyle Ultra Thin. It's what my wife and I use now, as we debate whether or not to have a second child.

I've only ever used Trojan. Admittedly, I have no need for condoms now, thanks to the pill. I can't remember the last time I had to fumble with one of those damn things in the heat of the moment.
Speaking of which, I would like to add my recommendation that you buy some and experiment with them. Get comfortable opening and, er, "installing" them (can't think of the word I want to use here). Get used to what they feel like so the sensations don't catch you off guard.

i don't know brand names, but when i packed my son for college i bought him a truckload and sneaked them into his luggage so as not to embarrass him. the thing i felt was most important was that they featured noxonal 9, a definate AIDS antiviral.(sorry, i may be mistaken on the spelling of noxonal.)

It's not your fault you have impeccably good taste.

Regular Trojans are kind of nasty, but the Trojan polyurethane ones are dandy. (I forget what name they give them, but I like them as much as Lifestyles Ultra Thin, and polyurethane is just as good protection as latex.)
Trojan polyurethane I agree with this. They do not make me feel irritated like the latex sometimes does.
i like the Lifestyles ultra-thin, too.

"Make sure you can read the serial number."
"But condoms don't have a serial number?"
"You're just not seeing the number because you never need to unroll them the whole way."
:P
I use Durex extra-safe - lubricated, spermicidal and anti-viral/anti-bacterial to some extent. Have only come across one person who reacted mildly unpleasantly to the cocktail, and that was cos she was allegic to latex.
