Duck on the day we got him from the shelter. He's bigger now! About 100 lbs. of stupid and love.

Aurora, who is amazingly prissy, fussy and demanding for being a one time stray. Total Daddy's Girl, but she puts up with me because I am the one that feeds her ;)

Oooh warrenly I especially love your Pinto, but they are all gorgeous. And is that a Border Collie looking away from the camera? Damn smart dogs!

What kind of dog is Peaches? Looks a bit like a Tibetan Spaniel

I think I would actually enjoy staying at your house :) I love horses and dogs

livius, I wanna see your ferrets

I poisoned her and I decapitated her, and she was still gnashing her mandibles in defiance. I'm in love.

Or, if you prefer your pets with a chitin deficiency, this is another animalcule we're temporarily fostering:

http://pharyngula.org/images/mr_twister.jpg

His name is Mr Twister. He's a clown. He's also up for adoption, so if you want him, come and get him.

pz, you are an evil man with an adorable foster kitten. Again, you = evil; Mr. Twister = adorable.

Shea, I'll see what I can dig up. :)

Oooh warrenly I especially love your Pinto,Howie is both a registered Paint and a registered Pinto, Paint by birthright and Pinto by coloration.... but they are all gorgeous....and spoiled rotten. And is that a Border Collie looking away from the camera? Damn smart dogs!Yes, too damn smart sometimes. She can run too, really run. She can run at 30 mph for a half mile or so. She's a killer as well, and a bird, squirrel and rabbit chaser, she has culled all the slow-witted critters around our place. Just yesterday, she found a nest of baby mockingbirds in the honeysuckle growing on the pasture fence and killed them all. She didn't eat them like she does with the baby rabbits. She'd have killed the mother bird too if she could've caught her.

What kind of dog is Peaches? Looks a bit like a Tibetan SpanielThat's a good guess, we'd like to think she's something special like that. She's a mutt, Heinz 57, is small, only weighs about 16 or 17 pounds. Her mother was part Spitz that looked like this:
http://www.boxcarbailey.com/eskie.jpg
She has the curly tail like they do. We were told she was a cockapoo, we can see the cocker spaniel in her, but we see no poodle in her at all. She has the absolute softest fur I've ever felt on any creature, great or small. I would wear a shirt made of her hair, which she sheds in fair quantities. I'd guess 90% of the contents of our vacuum cleaner bags are dog hair.

I think I would actually enjoy staying at your house :) I love horses and dogs.Drop by any time. There is actually another horse here right now, a Paint mare in foal. She is more dark colored than Howie, but I don't have pics yet.

This is Hank, he adopted us a few years ago and has put up with many indignities (namely the additions of a dog & a kitten) because he loves us. And also because he can't get out of the house.

One of the biggest pains...... er.... challenges in my life. Ellie, on the day we brought her home.

With the classic red-eye of all demonkind, here's our youngest Rufus on the day I picked him up from the girl who's dog he was bugging the hell out of:

He did eventually tire, but it took some serious playtime:

We just found out today that he too has adrenal disease (http://www.ferretnews.org/adrenal.html), the same thing that eventually killed our first two and is currently afflicting our eldest Mia. That makes four out of four. :(

Awww, my Wylie looked much like Rufus...not quite Albino but alot of white/blonde. He got a big tumor right on the tip of his tail, so we just had it snipped and he was silly looking for most of his life with the short tail. Most ferrets get the adrenal disease if they get old enough, it's just part of having ferrets. Both mine, Wylie and Chester, died of it + old age at around 10-11 years old...the vet asked us what we fed them that they lived so long. They were a lot of fun and I still miss them. My foster ferret, Sneakers, also had it, but his adoptive family didn't mind :)

G, maybe you'd like to ignore this one too. It's not my pet but my cats' pet. Like a clockwork toy ... jumps and everything.

This is slightly off topic, but when I end up getting a house and (probably) getting a cat, I have the perfect name: Chairman Meow.

Thanks for Rufus love, y'all. He's okay for now; this is a long-term thing. Meanwhile, Mr. Fluff has a very kissable tummy.
