Been a rather chaotic day at times with much irritation early on, mitigated at lunchtime, then tempered with boredom and the need to fight off sleep. After work it has been pretty good.

Got really aggravated with Amazon.com early on, went to work pissed off and had to waste eight more hours of my life, then went to my brother's place and grilled some steaks. Talked for a bit then came home.

Thanks everyone. Birthdays have always been sad for me, not for being a year older but because traditionally they are supposed to be a celebration of one's life, surrounded by friends. Rare are the parts of my life worth celebrating and rarer still are the times of being in the company of friends. Some things do change however, and for that I thank you all.
