Every time I see a new member with numbers in the handle I assume it's a spammer. I know there are lovely people here who have used or currently use numbers for entirely innocuous reasons, but even that knowledge doesn't stop me from hating what I don't understand.

I also had a C64, and I also used it primarily for games...that seems to have been prety much what it was good for. I did manage to find time in between rounds of Airborn Ranger and Pirates! to teach myself BASIC on it, though. Supposedly, there's a way to make a cable that has a serial connection at one end and a C64 drive thignie at the other end, so you can hook your C64 drive up to a PC and use it as though it were a regular drive (assuming you have the driver for it, of course). I have the software, but I've never been able to find anyone to make the cable for me.

Two great games. Microprose made some good ones. I also had Gunship, the Apache helicopter simulator.
