I think it's what is called a mailman or "mail-person" in America. Yea know, you work for the post office.

lol you like to be on your feet? i can tell you from experience ... work at a daycare with preschool children and on top of it curriculum plan for them ... oh boy it's fun fun fun. i do so much running around that i'm ready for bed the moment i walk in the door ... (btw i work 10 hour days there).

i'm one i can't be sitting in one place ... i gotta get up and move around constently. having this job that i have has made me yearn for a secretarial job soooooooooo bad. lol.

Good luck with your new career, luna. I recommend that you read everything by my favorite postie, Charles Bukowski. :D

Thanks.

I told my manager today that I won't be renewing my contract on the 17th. Had a really good talk with her about my reasons and all that. She thinks I'm nuts, but she's a cool lady and she understands where I'm coming from. And I know we will remain good friends socially. :)

So, I'm gonna ride my bike all summer and get fit and healthy. Nice.

Bukowski rocks, vm. In fact, when I start postie-ing (shit, hope I get a job as one! :giggle:), I'll even subscribe to King Louie's creative writing thang.

Oh, and don't worry - while I have not yet applied for work at the P.O., I know I'll be sweet. I'll rock up there in the next couple of days during a rare lunch break, and say, "yo, mon! Giz a job, eh. :D" And it'll be done. :thankee:

Bukowski rocks, :
Yes he does. One of my favorite quotes from him is one I often use as a sig. "Some people never go crazy, what truly horrible lives they must lead."

Yes, yes, but what about the uniforms? :waiting:

Oh, shit - I dunno. I think they're red and blue - pants and blouse. Prolly ugly, but I don't care. :D

What if they hire you, but stick you behind the counter instead? As a clerk. Working with the *gasp* general public. :yikes:

That's a cool quote. Up until a couple weeks ago I was using this as a sig:

"being lost, / being crazy maybe / is not so bad / if you can be / that way / undisturbed" - from Young in New Orleans (http://www.artvilla.com/wordplay/index.php?p=505)
