Because he asked for a treasure chest way back when the earth was new. Remember his neverending smiley requests thread? Somewhere early in there he requested it.

Ah, well if she made it, it's time to start pickin.

How come he goes in, but never comes out? How many of him are in there by now? There's not that much room in the chest. Does he have to share the treasure with all this clones? I don't get it.

JD: The little shiny things are not gold coins as you might think. They are smilies, for that is the true currency. They're the same size relative to the blue smilie character as he is to us. The chest is magic (would you expect anything less from liv?) - after he closes the lid, he transmutes into a tiny shiny gold smilie.

Of course, the chest does fill up, just slowly. Every few days (watch it and see), the smilie :dragon: comes along and takes out the best smilies for her :hoard:.

P.S. - I made a couple of timing changes and flipped it so it fits at the end of sentences. It definitely works better now, I think.
