Not only has she allowed permission for her work to be uploaded to the hoard, but she has made one of the most frequently requested smilies of all time just for us.

Attached is a frame that shows the flying creatures. They appear to be far more batlike in the wing structure. Observe the one shown against the foliage to the left and above the smilie. Very batlike.

I admit that two of the flyers are white. This is however not evidence against them being bats. Albino bats are very rare, but do exist.

You are more than free to see them as birds, but I feel justified in my interpretation that they are bats.

Considering the abstract nature of the smilies, the trees work perfectly. Otherwise it would create an effect similar to an animated character drawn on a 'real' backdrop, quite jarring.
