I really like this feature, its like "here's a quick freethought!". :mail:
Please tell me its new (rather than I'm just now noticing something that's been there all along). I'll add some sooner or later, too.

It's a newborn babe, freemonkey. vm installed it just yesterday (http://www.freethought-forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=425). I'm very glad you like it. :)
Now quit procrastinating and add some good stuff.

Ditto what liv said. Glad you like it freemonkey. :)
So is that a vote for keeping it where it is instead of moving it to a box on the portal page?

I'm sharp enough to catch the thing, but I missed the thread on it. :foggy:
Yes, vm, I like it right where it is.

I'd just like to echo that I love the random quotes, too! And they seem to be in the right place on the forum page.

What, the random quotes feature or the xmas (read "green and red") chunk of phlegm that my throat catapulted onto my hand?
:P

Um...
Back on track here...
The quotes are great. I'd like to see more. I'll probably upload some more over time. Those submitted by lunachick are a couple of favorites. I see somebody offered up their sig quote, too...Another of my favorites.
We need to mine some Moliere. Diderot. Payne. Shakespeare. Emma Goldman. Kropotkin. Squabble over Ayn Rand (it's inevitable, y'know).
We need more!
I like it where it's at, too.

I've got a collection of random quotes on my site--here's my complete quotes file (http://pharyngula.org/infidelquotes.php), which is about 3000 entries long.
Will the random quotes here be available as a file to simplify stealing it?

Oh rats! I added a quote but foolishly neglected to ask first whether html tags were appropriate. Could someone please edit it for me, so it doesn't look *quite* so ridiculous?
Cheers,
Michael

I just deleted it, Michael. Thanks for finding out vBcode doesn't work for us though. I'll have to look into that when I wake up tomorrow.
'night. :)

Forgot to answer this, sorry.
There's not way to simplify stealing it built in, but I'll keep an eye out for a hack (and/or write one myself eventually) to export them in .csv format.
